Pros: Close to the ski area and super easy check-in. The room was ready and open for me.
Cons: Not that I wanted to use the hot tub, but there was no water in it. If they had that up and working that could be nice.
Location: It's the closest you could possibly get to the ski area. They also have a restaurant connected to the lodge.
I thought the place was nice. I was only there for a couple of days. I wasn't sure where to go since I got in late for my key and the main office wasn't next to the lodge. I called and she was very friendly and let me know I could call her if I needed anything. My room was open and ready for me. I also want to thank the ridiculously nice woman that was cleaning or doing laundry there. She let me borrow her cell phone charger for the night so I wouldn't have to drive into Taos and back. I would stay here again just because of how nice and helpful everyone was. It was a very good price, also. I want to add too that I liked the blue walls in the bathroom. However insignificant it is, it made the place a little more cozy. :)

There are much nicer places to stay in Red RiverPosted Sep 18, 2013
The lodge was close to the ski resort but it was very run down. There are much nicer places to stay in town for the money. I would not recommend.
Hotel needs much improvement.Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Clean linens the first night.
Cons: Service, air cooler. Softer mattress. Music from the grill was too loud. He spa needs to be made available.
Location: Location was good but the sign was hard to read and we could not tell where it was or where to check in.
We expected a rest and revival. The spa was not working. Tha playhouse was closed. We were not provided info on the sites. Loud music disrupted our rest. Linen service not provided. We had to hunt down people to help us. The beds were hard. We had to open the doors for cooler air, not a problem unil someone stepped ot to smoke.

BED WAS HORRIBLE!Posted Jul 29, 2013
Cons: The beds, need A/C units installed and fix the wood steps!
First off, you have to search for someone to check-in since there is no office, then when they tell you what room you're in, you are leery of the wooden steps condition going up to your room. The bed springs were poking out of the mattress and curfew's were definitely not followed. No A/C and because of the noise, opening the windows was not even an option! Swimsuits were not used either because the spa was broke down! We will not be staying here again!
