Pros: Clean
Cons: Smell in the room and very drafty
Location: Close to Target, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Pottery Shopping Center, River, and Treasure Island Casino. Great location.
We would recommend this hotel as an okay, meets requirements choice for a stay in Red Wing. We stayed here instead of staying at the Treasure Island Casino. I would definitely recommend this if you're not into smoking. We found the Treasure Island Casino to be wayyyyy too smokey. The Best Western was clean, comfortable, and had a wide array of options for the breakfast (both hot and cold options). The room was chilly (appeared the outer windows/doors weren't sealed properly and air from outside came in) and there was a light musty smell when we entered, but we got used to the smell and didn't notice it after a while. It was conveniently located along Hwy 61. Again - for those not into the smokey scene at Treasure Island - I would recommend booking at a nearby location like Best Western (only about 15 minutes away).

Pros: The pool was nice for kids
Cons: All the trash by the back entrance outside.
Location: location was convenient
I was registered for a room for 2 adults and 2 kids. I agreed to the King with sofa sleeper. We arrived around 1a.m. after a 6 hour trip with twin 10 year old boys to discover that sofa sleeper was brand new with plastic on the mattress and no sheets. I called to have the bed made and the night guy came to my room and handed me sheets. No blankets or pillows and did not tell me they were stuffed in the dresser drawer. No discount was offered for my inconvenience and no apology. I was told to park at the end of the hotel and use the back door that was next to my room. It was pretty bad that they throw all there trash and broken furniture and appliances out there. Had to walk through a junk pile to get in the door. Also I felt 9am was bit to early for continental breakfast to end on the weekend.

The room we stayed in was musty and the carpet smelt awful of mold. We were forced to leave the window open and the bathroom fan running to try to circulate the air. The continental breakfast was very slim in choices and also had very few vegetarian choices. When we asked at check out about the moldy smell and if they would deal with it, they simply told us that they had carpet on order. We will not be returning to this hotel anytime soon!

Red Wing Hotel

This was a decent, run-of-the-mill hotel whose price was not outrageous. Some of the rooms had small balconies or patios which was nice. The breakfast wasn't too bad for this kind of hotel. It's fine if you aren't looking for something posh or elegant.

Good hotel for a small town. One of the few that has high speed Internte available. Not the cheapest in town.
