“Look forward to it each time”

Though the access needs paving, the lodging pays back many times over for a few bumps in the road. It is well located to be a restful stop in a restful town on the Mississippi. Though it's not far from the highway, it's closer to bike and hiking trails. The swimming pool and the whirlpool bath are perfect after a busy day. Management and staff are very solicitous for our needs.

“We will go there again.”

The pool was to cold. The timer for the spa does not work, it stays in one position.

“Exactly what we were looking for.”

Very quiet weekend, liked the hot tub being in a separate room than the pool.

“Plesant stay...”

Very clean. Only stayed one night and the hotel was somewhat empty, which was good for us as we experienced a quiet and clean stay.

“I will stay here again.”

This is an older hotel but has been remodeled. Clean, comfortable and a great value for the price.

“Convenient, close to shopping and casino”

Super close to hwy 61, but not loud. Hot tub has a shower area and was very relaxing! Pool is open until 10:30pm and didn't have time to go check it out. The room was clean and nice. The larger fridge and microwave were a nice addition, looked really new too. I liked the easy to use thermostat too, that way I could set it to whatever temp needed. There is a radiator, so I was SUPER glad to see that because forced air heat really dries me out. Across the parking lot was the Pottery Place! Godfather's Pizza, antiques, fun player pianos and nice clothing and shoe stores. I didn't check out the continental breakfast, which ends at 9:30, but there is a Perkins a block up and around the hill that is open 24 hours. Good, inexpensive place to stay. Really close to downtown and not too long of a drive to Treasure Island Casino.

“Turn the heat on man!”

We had a reservation and when we checked in at 5pm, the room was freezing! The heat was off and it was 50 degrees in there. We had to sit with our winter coats on for 2 hours until the room warmed up. The HBO guide was over a month old so apparently no had stayed in that room for a while but they really could have at least turned the heat on knowing we had a reservation. The continental breakfast was gone by 8:30 leaving old fruit for anyone else. Then we went to warm up the car at 10:50 am prior to check out. The keys were shut off that morning and would not work to get back in to the hotel or the room. Not worth saving a few bucks to stay here.

“Not worth stopping.”

My stay was disappointing. The room was hot, smelled of an over-bearing room deodorizer. The bottom of the bathtub had a scummy looking coating on it. I could not bring myself to use the shower. The pillows were hard. The breakfast the next morning was at best a cheap display of 2 kinds of cereal (the bins weren't even a quarter filled), a few tiny rolls, a couple of pieces of bread were out. It was not inviting. No one was ever in the lobby, no one was at the front desk the entire time I was there. I could never recommend this hotel to anyone.
