Bad service but good hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Lady at front desk was not in a friendly mood was rude. I am in a walking boot and was given a room on the second floor. They don't have an elevator

Re think your stay here

Posted Jul 20, 2015
The halls smelled from cigarettes and we were in a non-smoking room. The towels were stained, we ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex Only 1/2 a roll was in the bathroom None of the outside doors locked so anyone could walk in the back and side doors. A guest found hair and a razor in the pool. It appeared like someone had shaved in the pool and left the razor behind on the pool floor

Was nice stay. Could have been a bit cleaner. Smelled like smoke in the entry, and hallways.

Would do in a pinch

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: The kids enjoyed the pool.
Cons: Need to keep up on maintainance
Location: In Red Wing is the Red Wing Shoe museum, Red Wing Pottery museum, nice golf courses, and it's on the Mississippi River so there is beautiful scenery.
The rooms were clean, but the hall carpets and chairs in lounge areas were dirty and worn. The vinyl in our bathroom was coming up around the tub. The kids did enjoy the pool area. They have a laundry area for guests but no vending machine for detergent or softener.

Nice Hotel. A little small, but worked OK.

Posted Jun 24, 2015
We needed an economical place to stay while we were handling some things that needed to be taken care of. The hotel was fine and the staff was very friendly. I feel it was clean and served our purpose very well. A little small, but we had 4 people in that room part of the time and 3 the rest of the time so size was as much our problem as anything. The worst thing was that I am not familiar with Red Wing and finding the motel was a little difficult. I got lost. I attribute that to old age and not being familiar with the area. thank you. We were able to get everything handled and it worked well.

Nice place to stay. A bit smokey especially in the hallways. Nice folks. Would stay again if necessary. Close to great attractions!

It was fine

Posted May 27, 2015
Cons: Just overall cleanliness and pride of the staff. They just seemed bored.
It was fine for a cheap motel. We just needed a quick economical stay and it worked for what we needed in an area we wanted to explore.
