Cheap hotel with breakfast included!!Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Well priced with breakfast. Decent rooms and parking. No problem with very late check-in.
Cons: Variety of food at breakfast.
Location: Location is good. Next to the park and a 5 min bus journey to Ilford high street. A selection of pubs and takeaways nearby too.
Needed a place to stay at very short notice near the east side of London. Got this place last minute for three people and price included breakfast. We eventually checked in at 1am due to a function running late in Kings Cross. The hotel rang me at 11pm to check we were still coming - which was nice of them to do so. They were fine about us arriving late too. the guy on reception was very pleasant and showed us the breakfast room and then showed us our room. He made every effort to ensure we were happy with our room before he left which was nice. Breakfast was average but it was hot, and edible which is good enough for me! Beds were comfy, room was warm and clean and also plenty of tea and coffee. Can't really say anything bad about this place as everything was ok. Also had parking!!

What a hovelPosted Nov 5, 2013
I booked a room for 5 and was given a room for 4. It was dirty, the beds were rock hard, the pillows were very thin, the plug sockets didn't work, the radiator was hanging off the wall and we weren't informed that it is also a half way house! My children didn't feel safe, the bacon wasn't bacon but we weren't informed that it wasn't bacon and we couldn't wait to get out of there! Thank goodness it was just one night and the staff were very rude! The lake isn't at the hotel as stated on the website and I don't know where the pictures were taken but it wasn't of this hotel! Don't stay there, I felt sick!!

Great location for central LondonPosted Oct 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Staff helpful, rooms spotlessly clean but quite shabby, breakfast very good, dining room crowded, overall good value for money, would stay again.

very dissapointedPosted Sep 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
we stayed here 6 months ago and were given a lovely room in the hotel building itself. i think because we booked in early in the day 1.30. This time however we dident book in until 8.00 and were given room 27 across the back courtyard to the outer buildings through a door and up the stairs even before we got to the room outside the room and stairs were like somewhere dhss people would be staying in with a dirty 70s carpet on the stairs this room was shocking the room smelt damp and cold there were four waffer thin pillows between five of us there were what looked like fist marks in the plaster the light fitting above the bed was hanging off. After our last visit this was such a dissapointment .we would stay again but only if we got the room in the hotel otherwise i wouldent stay if they were paying me
