Great Hotel, worth the extra costPosted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: First and foremost, "No Smoking"!!!! Love the fact that Marriott has instilled this policy on this Brand.
Cons: Nothing, Loved the great breakfast spread and the Attendant was the Best, keeping the items fulfilled and the place spotless
Location: Cannot add to this category but the Shasta Park is close by. The terrain vistas were spectacular of what I saw. Oh try Humble Joe's for breakfast!
I flew into Redding for a Memorial Service of a dear friend. Got in late, Redding not the easiest place to fly into. But in spite of the late arrive, the Concierge was upbeat and very helpful with settling me into my room, and than recommending some places to get a late night bit to eat. She even had the directions printed up!

Almost great.Posted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was close Shasta Lake which was our destination. The staff was courteous and attentive. Room was clean and in good shape. The only reason I give the "3" on condition was because the elevator was out of service. Nice place overall. In-out access in back to accommodate us smokers :) I liked that.

The person at the desk suggested a great Italian restaurant, Nellos, and provided written directions -- much appreciated.

So-So experiencePosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
To start with the toilet was dirty, dirty towels hung up in the bathroom, and old food in the fridge when we first checked into our room. Then we had some problems getting key cards to work for room and pool doors. Th other problem was some construction noise from across the street. The redeeming part was Reyna who was the breakfast hostess. She was exceptional. The other staff was also friendly and helpful.
