It was a little disappointing. TV in our room didn't work. The bathroom door didn't lock - you could lock the door only when it was open; you couldn't lock the door (and the door would not stay locked) when it was shut. The hotel is on a side street and the area doesn't feel particularly safe. On the other hand, it's close to Churn Creek Rd and lots of places to eat and shop.

The young lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Anytime we were down there she went over and above what was necessary. The room is one of the nicest and best equipped of any I have been in.

The hotel is located in a convenient and safe location near a lot of restaurants and shops; good breakfast choices, full kitchen is a big help for family with small kids to prepare our own meal. However, our room’s toilet was not working properly that could not flush even a piece of tissue paper. The Guest Service offered an adjacent room for us to use the bathroom, and offered a discount. It was inconvenient, but not a big deal for a one night stay only.

The rooms are extremely small. The hideaway couches are awful. You can feel all the springs and bars. When they couch is open it goes up against the bed to point you have to crawl across the bed to use the restroom. The blankets were covered in hair. Just gross.

Comfortable stay
We stayed in TownePlace Suits hotels a couple of times. It was our first time in Redding. The hotel itself is very modern and updated, but the location is not very inspiring. it is in the middle light industrial zone even though other hotels are near by. Good thing is that a couple of good restaurants are just a short walk. We stayed there for one night on our way to Oregon so it worked well. The breakfast is better than average with some hot food. Highly recommended for business travel.

Second Nicest in Redding… but use an AirBNB
Filthy. We had stains on sheets, a nasty o we were afraid to use, beds were cheap and the springs could be easily felt. Worse than a motel 6. As a nurse I had much higher standards. They kept incorrectly charging my credit cards twice a day and even after the travel agent stepped in on day 1 to explain it to them that we had already prepaid in full. Stains on the couch which smelled like a wet dog, dirty walls, dirty window sills with spider nests inside.
Couch stain… it was wiped with Clorox wipe but couch smelled like a wet dog!
As a nurse I knew if I turned this on it would start a fire. This was never used by us either. Management didn’t seem to care.
These are supposed to be clean sheets. We took them off the beds since the stain wasn’t a discoloration issue. It had never apparently been laundered.
The walls were very dirty and the windowsills. I don’t expect this during a pandemic. I was told there were enhanced cleaning measures.
