Wonderful location and views from room on marina/beach side. Room rate is a little higher but worth it. Hotel has been renovated since my last visit. Free internet with priority rewards membership, so signup. Be prepared to pay a daily fee for parking. Tried to reserve a room for an extra night but couldn't due to overbooking.

I was surprised to see so many expensive hotels in Los Angeles through expedia. My wife and I saw this hotel and thought, "wow looks nice and not as spendy!" However, getting there we found out there's a fee for parking (?) breakfast fee, and even the wifi has hidden fees to even stream a movie off netflix... Don't get me wrong; the food wasnt terrible. However I don't think paying 12.95 a person to eat bisquick pancakes and some pastries is reasonable. We could have gone to almost anywhere else in the city to get a more decent breakfast. I'm from Minnesota and just never seen a hotel charge for parking (I'm talking "lot" parking, not a parking ramp). You aren't really saving any money going with this hotel. If you want to be treated luxuriously, you might as well pay a little extra at another hotel than think you're saving a buck at a reasonably nice hotel when you really arent.

"Well-priced hotel walking distance to Redondo Pier"
I booked this hotel via Expedia when I wanted to go back home for a visit. I wanted to be able to walk to the beach, and compared to other hotels in the area, this one was well-priced for the location. It is also recently renovated. The room I had was clean and well-kept. The mini-fridge was also convenient.
I gave it three stars overall for a few reasons: 1) my room was one of the closest to PCH, and I forgot how noisy that can be!; 2) when I went to check-in and out and to ask for a hairdryer from the front desk, there was rarely someone there.; and 3) my friend noticed upon picking me up abd dropping me off several times that there was a strange car with cobwebs on it that look like it hadn't been moved in awhile. It stayed in the same spot the entire week I stayed. Hmm.... Whelp, it's LA. ;)
