“very nice and helpful staff would stay again”
when you are traveling and need a place to clean up rest and sleep and be comfortable this is a nice place to stay /we planned 1 day and stayed 3
“perfect for our quick trip to visit the redwoods and crescent city”
we usued to live in crescent city, but haven't been back in over 20 years...the anchor inn was a great place to stay for a night to see the town and def. take in the redwoods! perfect location...right on the beach and on the 101N
“Comfortable and Convenient”
Not swanky, but clean, comfortable and nice breakfast. Located on Crescent City's bay front, it is convenient to beaches, the harbor, seafood restaurants, state and national redwood parks, scenic drives, and hiking trails.
“good for the price”
Customer Service and breakfast is seriosly lacking but the location, cleanliness gets good ratings. Older hotel that need renovations but be carefull calling to make them. They can't seem to be bothered to answer their phone to quickly.
“Do not go to OCEAN VIEW ROOM”
I had to pay extra $20 for get into the Ocean View Room. But I could see half of my view is RV Parking lots and Many RVs. I asked about this next morning, but man at the front dest was not polite to explain this incident. Please do not pay extre $20. And EXPEDIA needs check these kind of point.
“Great Weekend Getaway”
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were right next to the beach. Had a great ocean view from our room. The hotel clerk recommended The Beachcomber restaurant for surf and turf and it was fabulous!!! The room was quiet, dark and comfortable. We will stay here again next time we visit and hopefully stay longer.
“It was OK... probably won't return”
It was OK and basic. Not too many options in town-probably would have paid a little more at a newer property. Right off 101 which is convienent but a little loud, can walk a few feet to beach, but surrounded by RV park and you can walk to the beach from anywhere in town. Breakfast was pretty spartan and staff was not real helpful. Didn't really meet expectations
“hotel with an ocean view”
It was a good price with an ocean view. You can walk to the beach easily. I feel like we owned the whole beach in the morning. There was no one there except us. Continental breakfast is served with make your own waffles, donuts, muffins and toasts.
“On the beach, but a little smelly”
Great access to the beach. Room was roomy, but smelt like mildew. Not sure if the was lack of cleaning or just the constant damp air. I was over charged but the hotel staff fixed it quickly.
“Advertised as "Ocean-View," more like "Trailer Park-View"”
What made me decide to stay at this hotel was the "ocean-view" rooms. However, when I opened up the blinds, there was a trailer park literally right outside my window. I was so disappointed. So, if you want to stay here because of the view, don't bother, plus it is a little pricey. Other than that, the service was decent.
