Disappointing

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Don't use so much air/carpet freshener in the room. Fix the heater so a smell doesn't come out of it. Clean the hot tub
Location: Right by the beach, and easy to find. Many restaurants close by
The room had an overpowering smell of carpet freshener. We had to open the windows to let in some fresh air, but it was cold outside and so we turned on the heat. A smell came from the heater also and so we had to turn it off. The hot tub was really dirty and things were floating around in it.

Close to the beach but stay was uncomfortable

Posted Jul 12, 2014
We ordered a king and got a queen in a smoking room. Bed was hard as a rock so we did not sleep for two days. Bathroom was beyond small. It was nice to be close to the beach. You get what you pay for.

West coast drive

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Views
Cons: Breakfast wasn't up to much
Location: Beach and fishing, small town is typical for the area
Great views of the ocean from the room, but right next to a noisy RV park

Hotel has it all!

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Room was clean, very new looking, and good sized. All have outside doors and parking is available right outside the room. Cntinental breakfast yum.
Right on hwy, easy to find, heading out of town. Short walk to several great fish restaurants, a couple that are a quick easy access to fresh catch as hotel is in front of the dock where fishing boats come in. When locals visit them, you know they are good!

Nice hotel right on the Beach

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Ocean view and able to walk about 2-3 minutes and you're on the beach. Good breakfast. Good location right off highway.
Cons: Nothing notable.
Location: Only one night stay, so didn't venture out. The beach is awesome, sea lions nearby, many restaurants. Many hiking / scenic driving areas to explore.
8 day west coast trip. Stayed here one night on way from SF to Seattle. It was a pleasant surprise. Nothing outstanding but everything above average. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were good, and beds comfortable. You could look out and there was the beach and ocean. Very clean beach area, with lots of eating opportunities within walking distance.

Very clean, but I won't recommend it.

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Very clean rooms, comfortable.
Cons: Update the ad to show the actual view from the hotel.
Location: There is a beach close, it's a little difficult to access. Redwoods are close. Pretty much have to drive to any restaurants, service stations, etc.
Very clean, really a decent room, but not in walking distance of anything. The ocean "view" they advertise is actually a view of a road, large bushes, a jetty, and a run down trailerpark, then the ocean. The desk clerk upon check in was friendly. I had made my initial reservation through an online service for one day. We had decided to stay two days so I called to extend the reservation. The hotel said they did not have a reservation for me, so they gladly made one for me. I tried canceling my initial reservation through the online service, but they kept telling me to contact the hotel. I contacted the hotel a second time and they insisted they did not have a reservation and I would not be charged for both. After checking in, the manager came over and advised my initial reservation had been for the night before and I was charged for it, they would not refund it unless it was a problem with the online service. I double checked my information (after unpacking my paperwork in the room) to find out I had made a mistake with the dates. I get it, my fault, my problem, I will pay for it. BUT, we had just checked in for two days, they were not full, so you would think they would work with me at least a little, but no. We should have checked out and gone to the hotel up the road with a real "Oceanview" that was within walking distance of a few places. We stuck it out because the rooms were clean and they likely would have charged us for the room anyway.
