Large comfortable room.

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Room is large and comfortable. The restaurant that shares the parking lot was excellent!
Location: National and State Redwood Parks, Pacific Ocean.
The room was large with frig and micro. Good location near the redwoods. Staff was pleasant and helpful with directions and great recommendations for sightseeing and food.

Very old motel being renovated

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Get the wifi working. Get the musty smell out.
Location: Good restaurants across the street and on the water. This was just a stopping place for us.
Disappointed in this hotel. Wish we had known about the newer places in the north part of the city, but they weren't listed on Expedia. The wifi did not work here, and after a few days of our phones not working on the coast, we were very frustrated with that. The hotel was adequate, but old and showing wear. Had to walk up the outside staircase to our room with heavy suitcases. Not good. Breakfast in the restaurant was only adequate.

Overall it was a pleasant stay.... the pool was great and wasn't crowed at all. My kids ages 7 and 9 loved it!

At last - midway Grants Pass to San Francisco

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable bed, quiet, decent breakfast.
Cons: Put families with small children on ground floor. Sounded like herd of horses in room above. Fortunately they went to bed at decent hour.
Location: Location perfect to stop for a nights sleep when traveling a long distance. No attraction of interest unless heading to/from redwoods.
We make a trek twice a year between Portland and Los Angeles avoiding the 5 fwy after Grants Pass. After trying several locations to even out the three day drive, finally found Crescent City a great stopping point for first day heading south and then Milpitas the second day. Perfect. Previously tried a couple other motels in Crescent City but was not pleased. Now we have our route established.

Mediocre

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and close to the Redwoods.
The walls are way too thin. We could hear the couple next door as if they were staying in our room. We could also hear every single person that passed by our room outside. The bed was average in comfort. The pillows were horrible. The breakfast meal included next door was below average.

Under construction.

Looks like they are adding a third floor to the building we stayed in. Not a lot of noise but the parking lot was a little congested. Overall our stay was great.

Needs a facelift

We found it to be quite dated. The pictures online looked nice, but it's an old motel with fresh paint.
