NoisyPosted Jan 5, 2015
Cons: New Fridge, better insulation, I suppose.
Right along the highway and so makes it noisy. Also, the whole day you hear the Coast Guard Alarm or something every few seconds. The Fridge was so noisy we unplugged it.

A great night in Crescent CityPosted Oct 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
We loved hearing sea lions barking in the bay outside our room :) Our only complaint was the rudeness we witnessed by some of the other guests to the staff at breakfast!

Super 8 Crescent CityPosted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a well managed property just south of Crescent City downtown. Our room was very spacious, very clean and smelled nice. The mini 'fridge and microwave were handy and you can get an impressive array of TV to watch if you get rained/stormed in, and there's free wifi for those who want to stay hooked up. The bed was made nicely but was hard as a rock and there is no "quick fix" for temperature due to there being a baseboard heater and no air conditioning (here, I'm sure you would rarely need it). The Indian manager and family are doing well at keeping the property up - the office closes at 10:00 if all the reservations have arrived. This property sits just across the highway from a nice boat basin and you can see sea lions basking on docks just a bit further down the coast. Crescent City as you probably are aware if surrounded by huge redwood groves that MUST be seen if one hasn't, if only for minutes !

Little thingsPosted Oct 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was adequate, but I had trouble with the television remote, with the coffee pot, and the toilet, and this was irritating. The staff were nice about fixing things after the fact, but Proactive goes a long way concerning customer service. This is super 8 and they should have to maintain some standards it seems like.
