We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was a chalet and so it was apart from the main hostel, and was a good size and clean. Music from the clubs on the Reeperbahn could be heard at night, but it wasn't too loud and didn't disturb our sleep. The hotel isn't located directly on the Reeperbahn, but in a building behind the street which you reach through an archway (most buildings on the Reeperbahn don't have the street number on them so look out for the A&O sign). The staff are super friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities in the lobby are very good with drinks, snacks and ice-cream available and a bar upstairs. There are also computers and a pool table. The breakfast buffet has an excellent selection and is great value at €6. The only downside for me was that the wi-fi signal in the room was very weak and kept disconnecting, but it was somewhat better in the lobby. We would definitely stay in this hotel again but perhaps wouldn't recommend it so much for families with young children because of its location with the lap dance clubs etc. on the Reeperbahn. There is an underground stop very close to the hotel and the location is ideal for getting around the city. There are also lots of cafés, restaurants and shops in the area too.
