Overall ok but needs some work

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Overall we enjoyed our time there but there were some problems. Three times they had to shut the hot tub down while we were there and they also had to close the main pool down. The main pool is way too crowded to be very fun or safe. The hot tub was great when it was open. The water slide was good too. The lifeguards kept a good eye on things though I don't understand the no snorkel rule. The worst part was in our room the taps were loose and dripping. We complained everyday but they didn't move us, apologize or try to fix it at any time: the only thing they did was give us a coupon for next time we're there if we book directly through them. Ends up being useless as booking online saves us more than what the coupon is worth so I didn't think the customer service at the front desk level was up to snuff. The taps were so loose the gasket came off and the kids had a hard time using them. I found this to be completely unacceptable. If the taps were in good shape I would stay there again maybe.

Great for the grandkids while waiting for our next day flight. Water slides, pools, and hot tub were wonderful after a long drive. Rooms were very nice with comfy beds. Needed cot and microwave which were provided promptly.

Nice family hotel.

Pros: We really like the location of this hotel. We can park the car for the night and walk to go eat dinner/breakfast.
Location: There are a lot of restaurants from more upscale to coffee shops within walking distance. Close proximity to shopping as well.
Hotel was within walking distance to many restaurants. The pool area was very busy right until closing time. Our air conditioning was not working properly and the staff was very helpful and quick in resolving the problem. Unfortunately there was a very strong sewer smell in the hallways the next morning and it was not pleasant. Overall, the staff was very friendly and professional and the facilities were well maintained.

Stopover for tired grandparents and grandchildren

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Cannot think of anything yet
Location: Good location lots of renter aunts in area and close to highway or airport
Having set out from Calgary rather late in the day we were glad of the stoop at the travelodge in Calgary. The weather was real bad but we were welcomed by the staff. The rooms are what one expects from a travel lodge and the rest aunt staff were really good. The food was good a little up scale from good bar food but the sausage and mash was very good. The restraunt staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pool was excellent although a little overcrowded as it was a long weekend. The bar is one of the best I have seen staff very efficient with a good atmosphere. The whole stay was very good and well recommended.

It felt like a theme park!

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed the waterslide. On Sun morning staff had to remove remnants of a party from the previous night from the water.
Cons: Don't charge full price for the room when the parking lot is 60% closed and the hotel is overbooked and the pool is over crowded. I will not return.
Location: We visited the science centre which was worth every penny.
I stayed at Travelodge Regina on Canada Day long wkend. I booked thru Expedia, and I would use them again. I travelled with my 7 yr old daughter and 4 yr old son. We chose this hotel for the waterslide... It was said to be the biggest in Regina. We arrived at 4pm, which is check in time. Most hotels have a 3pm check in. We tried to find parking but most of the parking lot was cordoned off and we were unable to park nearby. We got changed as fast as we could and went to the pool to play. The pool was fun, but crowded. The waterslide lived up to its advertised size. It was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed it a lot. After supper we went back to swim for a little while longer before bedtime. This is where I started to believe I was at a theme park. We stayed on a main floor room and it sounded like an actual herd of elephants was on the floor directly above us! I was so excited! If I closed my eyes I felt like I was in the plains of Africa! I suspect we were near the watering hole for all these magnificent beasts because the stomping went on for hours. I wished I had my camera there. In addition to the indomitable beasts above us I am sure we had a large group of hyenas in the hall way right outside our room. Judging by the loud yells and shrieks I suspect they were trying to find their way to the 2nd floor watering hole. They spent a lot of time loudly voicing their efforts at gaining each other's attention over a long period of time, and from each end of the hall.

Pros: It was in a good location for where I needed to be.
Cons: It was more expensive than other hotels that I stay at.
The hotel was fine, good location and the room was fine. I didn't use the gym or pool / waterslide but they looked fine.
