Nice hotel, perfect location.

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom
Location: Restaurants, shops, beach, boardwalk
Right on the boardwalk with easy access to beach, shops, and restaurants. We stayed in the old part of the hotel. The rooms were nice but the bathrooms needed some work. They were small and had mold on the floor and ceiling tiles. Overall, great hotel for playing at the beach all day.

This hotel is in a great location but that is it's only redeeming quality. Rooms were dirty, toiletries and towels were in short supply...we were even left without towels as they took our used towels without leaving replacements.

Great Location, great pool, great pool restaurant.

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Location and pool.
Cons: Level the hallways, eliminate the steps into the rooms, put restroom facilities near the pool. The common areas need the most work.
Location: Great location and easy access to the boardwalk and Rehoboth Avenue. Very family friendly. More shops than you can visit in a week!
There isn't a better location for a hotel and the boardwalk pool is the best and only in town. Missed the hot tub, though. Service at the pool restaurant was inconsistent, but the food and drinks were good. Be careful of the sloping hallways and 2" step up into the hotel rooms. Needs some orange paint to highlight the trip areas. Have stayed at this hotel in the past. The good things are still good and the negatives are still there.

Nice Location!

LOVE that it's only steps away from the beach. LOVE that after checking out, you can still park there if you're not ready to leave.

Best Friday night at the Beach ever!!!

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Ocean front, clean, location, location, location
Location: perfect location
At the last minute we decided to stay Friday evening at the beach and needed a room. Looked online and found one room available. Granted the room was expensive but it was a Friday evening for one night at the beach. I booked on Expedia and then called the hotel. The man on the phone said if an ocean front was available we could be upgraded. When we arrived at the hotel in the am we arrived at 9am (check in is 4pm). The two ladies at the front desk were great and very friendly.. They upgraded us to an Ocean Front room and allowed early check in ay 9am. We had a lovely room with great view of the Ocean. We loved our two day experience at the hotel and the our time at the beach. Highly recommend this hotel.

Poor customer service

Posted Jun 28, 2014
After checking in and carrying all our luggage to our room, we discovered our room had a view of the parking lot and not an oceanview. We were told that the room we reserved was not available so the hotel "down graded" our room without any prior notification. After much complaining, the hotel offered us a room with an ocean view but no balacony and told us we would be responsible for any additional cost. Not acceptable customer service. Expedia assured us we would not be responsible for any upgrade cost. Truly feel the hotel did a bait and switched scam. Communication with the staff was poor. When asking any questions only got half the information. For example: asked where the ice machine was located. Was told the fourth floor but was not told we would need our room key to access it. Results: two trips to get ice. Ask if coffee was available in the morning. Was told yes, right in front but was not told she was referring to the coffee shop and not the lobby. Poor communication thru out staff. However the cleaning staff was excellent and accommodating of all our needs. Had a problem with noisey neighbor our last day but was promptly resolved with the assistance of the hotel management.

Desperately Needs Updating

Posted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Great location, but worn out.
Cons: UPDATES DESPERATELY NEEDED. The location demands better quality of investment by the owners.
For a prime location, owners have not kept it up to date. Baths are inserts to cover up old baths and the low bath ceilings are drop in tile ceilings. Old faucets, sinks and cabinets. The hallway carpet screams that it has seen way to many teen beach weekends. The old tiny elevator works but looks a bit scary to enter. The pool looks lovely on the boardwalk. The Front Desk staff is not familiar with the local restaurants and had not heard of Blue Moon right down the street for excellent dining. They just hand out the tourist brochures for restaurant lists. In our room, an old leather desk chair was so worn and crackled. The bed pillows were small and few. Worth it to stay off the beach at Rehobeth Hotel and take a shuttle.

Ancient

Pros: I could see the beach.
Cons: everything.
Location: swim, surf, build sand castles, eat
This place seems to have been built in the 1940's. The room is cramped by too many beds in the room. To use the desk you have to pivot the chair sideways sit down and pivot in. There isn't room to slide the chair out. But you probably won't be using the desk because you won't be able to connect to the WIFI. After 2 trips to the front desk I gave up. The only place I could get reception was in the lounge. Right where I want to conduct buisiness. The day I left, the elevator was out of service. No signs alerting you to this, push the button and wait, no I don't hear it moving. Hump your luggage down the staircase which goes around the elevator, so down one flight, then around the hall to the next staircase. The conference room has outlets around the wall, so forget about using your laptop unless you are one of the lucky few or you have a spare battery. The provided breakfast consisted of donuts, bagels, muffins, and coffee. This place is in desperate need of an upgrade.........or demolition.

Hotel undergoing renovations

Posted Apr 24, 2014
Hotel is offering low rates but has no services available. I would not stay there until renovations are completed.
