Not bad, not great

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The price and it was located close to Dogfish Brew pub.
Cons: Pillows are terrible.
Location: Beach is a few blocks away and the dogfish brew pub is 0.30 miles away.
A few friends and myself visited Dogfish brewery and the brew pub afterwards. I decided to book the Breakers because it was pretty cheap (80 for a Sat in Feb) and it was only 0.30 miles from the brewpub which ensured no one would need to drive. The Breakers room served our needs since we only needed to sleep there and it was clean. The staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Each bed had four small pillows. I didn't understand that and didn't like it. The view was pretty bad. I'm not sure I would want to stay for three or more days. But I guess it would depend on the price.

Polar Bear Plunge weekend

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: nice clean room and within walking distance of main street and boardwalk
First time staying here. Nice room, clean, and warm for a cold weekend. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Rate was satisfactory. Because of the 1:00 pm plunge, the hotel allowed all plungers a late checkout of 2:00PM. This allowed us to shower and change. I will surely arrange to stay at this hotel again.

Pleasant staff-great off season rate- convenient location. Pool was supposed to be open until 9 pm but was closed early. Room was clean but dated- bedspreads were yucky.

QUICK trip to the beach

Posted Jan 3, 2015
I chose to stay here.because of price and proximity to the beach. The promised "view of the.ocean" was off, unless one considers a partial view of the canal the ocean. The balcony was okay but.it.was too cold to spend time on it and the balcony light staying on throughout the night made it.difficult to sleep. The majority of the.desk.staff was pleasant and did answer questions when asked.

Budget pricing near the beach.

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Location. Indoor pool.
Cons: A bit dated.
Location: Pinatsu and mangocado sushi rolls at Cultured pearl. Drink beers @ Dogfish. Margaritas at Modern Mixture. Breakfast and juices at Greenman.
Stayed in a suite- 2 beds and a couch in a seperate area. Nice to have the extra space. Roomy overall but small bathroom and a bit dated. (I don't personally give an ish, but you might, so just as an FYI) Clean. Staff was friendly. Perfect for our girly overnight trip.

Everything promised was available. Hotel gave us all (runners) several extra hours for checkout. Very nicely appreciated.
