Lovely chance to stay in a chateau

Posted Jul 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
As expected, the hotel is old and has the usual creaky floors one would expect. The location was perfect for viewing the Loire Valley and visiting other chateau in the area. The location of the hotel is peaceful and in the countryside. Make plans for dinner prior to arriving as the options are limited.

Lovely stay in the Loire Valley

Posted Jun 8, 2014
My husband and I stayed at the chateau for 2 nights. It was a perfect place to explore the Loire Valley by car. The hotel and the setting is beautiful. It feels very authentic and a step back in time. We had the 3 course dinner there both nights and it was absolutely delicious! The owner of the hotel - Erik - was lovely and took time to show us the chapel and have a chat. The lady at the front desk and the waiter were also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying at the chateau.

authentic Chateau

If you want to stay in an authentic 15th century castle, this is the place. It could have come straight from a fairy tale. We had a lovely room. They are a small outfit and offer relatively few services, e.g. no room service. We didn't make reservations in advance for dinner and so had to drive about 20 minutes to the town. Overall definitely worth the experience.

Lovely hotel and run exceptionally well with a small staff. Really enjoyed our stay and the extra service that was provided to ensure that we enjoyed our time both in the hotel and out at the local sites and resturants.

Good evening, I am afraid you did not stay at OUR Chateau de Reigac, as all the rooms are within the Chateau.... Best Regards Erick Charrier

A fabuous experience in a picture-perfect setting!

Pros: It was amazing to stay in a historic property. The perfect combination of formal and relaxed. Our room was enormous & had great views of the grounds
Cons: I'd change the hand held shower to a regular mounted shower. It was a challege (albeit an entertaining one) on my first attempt!
Location: Perfect location, beautiful grounds and close to many of the chateaux on the 'must see list'- Chenonceau, Azay-Le-Rideau, Villandry, Amboise, etc.
We stayed three nights in May at this lovely chateau. All of the staff went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable. We had a delicious dinner in the dining room our first night complete with local wine, and enjoyed an pre-dinner aperitif and post-dinner coffee in the comfortable salon. all in all, it was a great experience!!

Great chateau with friendly greeting.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Very small lift. We have a wheelchair. Just fits!
Location: Pretty little village and lovely river nearby.
Have returned here for the third time, so that tells its own story. Excellent meal and staff and owner are most charming. They greet us like old friends!

We had the pleasure of spending 2 night here in the beautiful loire Valley. The chateau has been beautifully retored and has its own chapel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in the morning in the dining room and dinner was available at night. Free wifi was available in the lounge. Car parking was free and on site. The grounds were magnificent and beautiful to wander through.

Would definitely return to Chateau Reignac

Posted Jun 18, 2011 on Hotels.com
My wife and I spent three nights at Chateau Reignac and absolutely loved it. The staff was wonderful and history of the chateau is inspiring and it really makes you feel that you are staying in a timeless castle. We ate at nearby villages each night and found the Chateau to be very conveniently located. We strongly recommend Amboise for dinner and lots of driving in the countryside for beautiful afternoons.
