Quiet old fashioned French hotel.Posted Aug 19, 2014
Lovely quiet location, elegant building, chintztastic decor, great bathroom, bed quite hard, friendly staff, excellent breakfast although quite expensive. Good base to see Reims if you don't mind a short walk.

Excellent & reasonably close to centre of ReimsPosted Aug 16, 2014
Location: Visit the many beautiful buildings in Reims.
Excellent hotel and was well placed for our two day visit to Reims. Hotel staff very helpful especially with the parking, putting down a wooden filler to accommodate our low slung sports car.

Grand in name, Grand in ambiencePosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: I could not fault this hotel. I have very high standards and they were met with elegance and charm. Sophistication & service with quiet efficiency.
Cons: Stronger internet connection in the rooms. Intermittent at times.
Location: Hotel Location was a 5 minute easy and safe walk into the centre. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Churches.champagne! History. Culture.
Fabulous experience. I always book with in-trepidation as to what I will find as I pull up to my chosen hotel. This hotel exceeded expectations on all levels. Olde world charm. Polite but non-invasive service from every member of staff. Extremely helpful. Comfortable room and beds. Quiet position. Walking distance to the centre. Walk or drive to the champagne houses. 2 miles away. Elegant and charming hotel.

Perfect city centre boutique hotelPosted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Lovely feel to the decor, a lovely "old school" hotel
Location: perfect City centre location within ten to fifteen minutes of everything
Very pleasant and quiet location very near to town We visited the Millionaire restaurant and it was a short walk but very worth it. Good parking and easy to get in and out. Don't forget your swimming costume, for the well sized indoor pool.

Classic European hotel -Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Ambience, staff, and location.
Cons: Wall-mounted shower (vs. handheld) would make showers more manageable. Poor air circulation in room necessitated use of AC.
Location: Cathedral is impressive, as is the history of post-war rebuilding of Reims. Roman ruins.
Classic European hotel with unusually large, well-appointed room. Had the feel of a boutique property, with a small number of rooms (10) and nice common spaces. Friendly and helpful staff. The location was not particularly central with respect to access to sites and restaurants; however, these were accessible via a 10- minute walk. The advantage of the location was that there was no road noise. Restaurants, patisseries, and brasseries were within walking distance; however, it would have been convenient to have a patisseries within a block.

This is not a five star hotelPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the marble bathroom luxurious
Cons: Install heavy curtains on the windows so that shutters aren't needed during the summer months. Conceal old pipes in the bathrooms.
Location: Not near the cathedral or the main pedestrian area of Reims. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk away from this area
This hotel is located in a charming old building in a residential area surrounded by newish apartments. It is not near the cathedral or the main pedestrian area of shops and restaurants. The wifi service in the room was poor (only two devices per room and kept dropping out) There were old dirty pipes in one corner of our bathroom and the dark red carpet in the lift needed vaccuuming. However the bed was comfortable and the towels were really fluffy. There were shutters on the windows of our room that had been closed for us in the evening but we had no idea how to open them again in the morning. This meant that we had no idea it was raining when we left that morning. A charming hotel but not what expected for the price

Great hotel for weekend's stay in ReimesPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Good of road Parking Nice pool- unexpected in a small hotel Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Very little- Possibly a sign to tell us to drive in to the reception area (Small Archway) as we sailed past - but really that's being a bit harsh
Location: Short walk to the centre - not in the least bit a problem Lovely city to visit- Cathedral - spectacular windows. Interesting shopping centre
Lovely little hotel just a short walk (10 mins) in to the centre of Reimes. Very friendly and clean hotel with private off road parking. Room spacious and air conditioned. Good breakfast and nice pool. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back without hesitation.

Excellent small hotel near town centrePosted Jul 3, 2014
The Grand Hotel des Templiers is one of the best small (18 rooms) quiet hotels I have stayed at for some time. The staff are very friendly and there is a secure car park in the courtyard for guests arriving by car. The room I stayed in was very spacious and beautifully appointed. There is also an inside pool and sauna. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the town centre. I would definitely stay at this hotel when next visiting Rheims.

Clean, friendly and very good location. Walkable to centre, near main routes but quiet residential location. Very pleasant stay and will come back.
