Careful of rooms at the frontPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The receptionists, the beds were clean and comfortable.
Cons: Offer guests rooms away from the front if it is a busy Friday or Saturday night in the bars outside. Provide tea and coffee in the rooms.
If you notice people sat outside at the bars as you approach the hotel, make sure you don't get given rooms at the front of the hotel. One reason is because the hotel spotlights shine in through the windows and the other obvious thing is you get lots of noise late into the night as revellers care little for any hotel resident. This hotel is ok for a few hours sleep before moving on but is not special. The staff were very pleasant when we arrived and left.

City BreakPosted Dec 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location. Only a 5 min walk from the train station and tram stop. Trams really easy to use. Hotel being renovated at the moment, so rooms at the front are much nicer. Staff very friendly. Breakfast available at a cost. Car park tickets can be purchased at the hotel for a reduced price (underground public parking available out front). Would use again.

Warm welcomePosted Nov 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a lovely stay in the Hotel du Nord where the reception staff were always warm, friendly and helpful. The room was small with comfortable beds and a modern but compact bathroom. The hotel is very central but noise from the bars and restaurants below was easily blocked out when the window was shut. The basilica is well worth a visit as well as the cathedral. We took a train to Epernay where we did the 10 Euro Castellane champagne tour which was fun. The vineyards were beautiful with their rich autumnal colours.

Horrible hotel in great locationPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: The location was this hotels only positive feature.
Location: Great location, right in the centre of the commercial district.
This hotel is possible one of the worst i have stayed in. The entire hotel was in a state of disrepair. Everything appeared tired and dirty. The room was small and uncomfortable - and that was in a superior room. I hate to think what a standard room is like. The walls were so thin i could hear everything in the room next to me.

Reims means running!Posted Oct 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
When I arrived in Reims, there was a lot of traffic. Not what I was really expecting on a Saturday afternoon. It turns out that there was a city marathon the next morning, so the city was jam packed. Luckily, I had made my reservation weeks ago, so all was well once I found a parking space. The hotel staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. I had absolutely no trouble. I did have an extremely tiny room, and it smelled a bit of fresh paint. I guess they are renovating, so that explains the paint. The room size probably won't go away. The WiFi was speedy and free. Breakfast was a few extra euros, but it was well worth it. Fresh baked goods, the usual cold cuts, and a nice coffee machine. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is on a big pedestrian mall with dozens of restaurants.

Excellent location - very centralPosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms were comfortable and clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Hotel does offer B&B and H/B but because it on main restaurant strip there are plenty of places to choose from to eat - are all good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Cathedral is about 5/10 min walk away.

Nice stay although very noisyPosted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and booked all of you sessions at the champagne houses. The room was small and crowded and very hot. The only way you could sleep was to have the window open but the noise was intensive. You could not sleep as the hotel is right in the heart it with 2 bars that stay open all night and people are loud.
