Handy Stop-over
Very friendly pleasant place to stay en route. Initially struggled to find it as the name was in cursive writing! Parking safe and a good breakfast. Central to town.

Nicely appointed functional hotel in good central location with excellent reception staff. Dinner in Bistro was disappointing. Unremarkable food, poor wine list and terrible young staff. It is amazing that in 2021 Some French kids do not speak even basic English! Especially working in tourism/service.

Great stop over at Chalons-en-Champagne
We stayed at the Hotel D'Angleterre en route to Zeebrugge on our way back home to England from a holiday in the Dordogne. It is located in the centre of Chalons- en-Champagne and we were given a delightful room overlooking the Cathedral.The hotel is very well appointed, both modern and stylish and our room had a large double bed coffee machine, safe and even a television tuned to BBC. Our bathroom incorporated both a bath and separate enclosed shower cubicle. There are two options for dining a rather up market restaurant which happened to be fully booked when we arrived and a less formal Bistro where we thoroughly enjoyed an excellent three course 37euro menu [28 for 2 courses]. The meal was superb and particularly our Gambas starter Despite the fact that both eating places were very busy the service could nevertheless not be faulted. The staff at reception were very welcoming and friendly and after hearing my faltering French quickly switched to English for me. Unfortunately there always has to be a slight downside and that proved to be the parking facility. The car park for which there is a charge of 10 euros a night is quite small and tight. It is, however, locked and secure overnight and we were fortunate to squeeze into one of the last few remaining spots available in the late afternoon. Don't know whether it is possible to reserve a space overnight but it is something worth bearing in mind if you are arriving later in the day.

nice hotel near the city center
very nice room. the Air conditionning wasn't very effective but nicely furbished room and bathroom. The breakfast wasn't worth its price 16 €. Very few fruits, no soy milk or whatever vg options. Coffee was served by a waitress how happened to show up evrey 20 minutes...Next time we will use the coffe machine in the room.

Very lovely hotel
I arrived late after a great deal of travel and was greater by a lovely woman at the front desk who went out of my way to assist me. The only downside is that I forgot my iPhone charger and converter and was told That it was not found.

Our room was surprizingly well equipped. Renovation took place with professionals and high quality materials. Supper and breakfast in one and the other restaurant. Same kitchen, but one resto is more luxurious, different prices. Excellent supper and petit-déjeuner with local ingredients. Private parking on the vicinity, although in town-center.

Hôtel bien situé. Salle de bains avec baignoire et douche qui est séparée de la chambre par une porte et petit couloir (vous ne réveillez pas votre conjoint en prenant votre douche). Bonne literie. Tout est très propre. On voit le clocher de la collégiale par la fenêtre

Très bon accueil. Personnel très souriant et gentil et serviable, attaché à la qualité des relations. Petit bémol, il y aurait lieu de rafraichir certaine partie. Ai oublié de signaler que la baignoire est très glissante, et qu'un tapis antiglisse pourrait servir pour des personnes de 75 ans.
