Went with my son for one night. Great rooms and comfortable. stunning decor and furniture. Food in restaurant is good and the equestrian theme is great. I tend to stay in smaller hotels where staff are very friendly and helpful Whereas here its a wee bit more standoffish.
breakfast was disappointing for me. Buffet breakfast when a hotel is quieter doesn't work as food doesn't keep well. But on a whole its a great Place !

We had a lovely stay. Very much enjoyed the restaurant, view of the bridge from our room, and great leisure center. I will admit that when we pulled up we were a bit concerned, as the exterior condition of the building is not fantastic, but those feelings disappeared immediately when we entered the nice lobby and were greeted by friendly and competent staff. The pool facilities are excellent, including a large pool, baby pool, spa, sauna, and steam room. Also a large changing room and a fitness center. Rooms are very reasonably priced, and free parking is close to the front doors.

Very nice large house at the top of a hill with nice, comfortable rooms and a gracious staff. Easy walk to the abbey, which was founded in 1163. Good breakfast, comfortable bed, upgraded/remodeled bath in our room, #14. (Which is a suite with 2 double beds.) It is up a steep, narrow staircase, so make sure you can manage if you have heavy luggage-- otherwise try a lower-level room. Just 7-8 minutes from Glasgow airport; cost for a taxi is only 8-9 pounds or so. Highly recommended!

Renfrewshire contains much of Glasgow's commuter belt as well as the airport, and its roads are consequently often congested. The main town is Paisley, famous for its distinctive textile designs, no longer produced there, but represented in the Museum and Art Gallery. Paisley's Gilmour Street railway station is one mile from Glasgow airport terminal. The town is seven miles from Glasgow.
