Pros: Clean, well maintained and comfortable
Cons: Better air conditioning to remove smoke from non-gaming areas
We enjoyed the buffet. We are vegans and there was plenty of choice. Better quality than some other Reno hotels. Not too much walking between area of the hotel for my husband who has difficulty walking.

Nice hotel

Pros: Great food variety
Cons: Better comps program
Location: Easy to get to Tahoe or Virgina City from here.
Hotel is great. Majority of staff friendly. The VIP area staff for comps was disappointing compared to the last time we were there.

Pros: The resturants
Cons: The concierge desk wasn't manned regularly. One girl was excelleant, the other girl knew nothing about a 'show' downtown opportunity.
Location: Take the 'Virginia City, Carson City, Lake Tahoe' tour offered byPaulette & Roger. It was excellent!!
Very nice. We liked it here. Many resturants esp. Purple Parrott & Manhanntan Deli. Take advantage of Happy Hours

It wasn't my best choice after all

Posted Oct 3, 2014
This was my second visit to Reno. Last time i stayed at GSR and since my friend recommended this hotel we decided to go this time although it was $20 higher than GSR. Over all, it was just okay except that there is an inside pool, which was great since I have a little boy- even the water was warm! But everything else was just too.. Old.. I guess... There is only GSR.. i can make a comparison to, and Gsr wins since it was built recently. I mean.. With the same price, I would definitely go GRS without any hesitation.!

Serious room for improvement !

Pros: Not very smoky in slot area.
It took an hour to get my luggage delivered to my room. I tried to call the bell service several times and ended up having to call the front desk in order to get contact with bell service cause the phone was busy. Upon entering my room I had to call to front desk to get ashtrays delivered. I called front desk because they had no black tea in the room only green. I was told to go to one of the restaurants to get my own or call room service. I asked housekeeper for extra sugar and was left few pkgs which contained 1 pkg of sugar and ended up getting my own from restaurant as well as I bought my own tea from Walmart. Housekeeper left dirty glasses in the room twice. The circulation in the room was the worst ever. Even the room service person made a comment as to how smoky it was and told me they run swamp coolers. Windows do not open. Had dirty silverware delivered by room service. Toast so cold the butter would not melt. Spa was overly expensive. I spent extra on nail polish and it didn't even last a week! Forgot my mouse (computer) and was told it would cost over $100.00 to get it shipped to Canada because I didn't have a US address. It took several days to resolve this and had to find a US address to ship. Food and wait service was mehh. Asked for keno rep and never saw them.

My favorite Reno hotel by far

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Tastefully decorated rooms that are very comfortable
Cons: The televisions sometimes don't work perfectly - I've had to get new remotes on two occasions.
Location: Very centrally located - close to airport.
I've stayed at the Atlantis hotel several times over the past two years and have declared it my absolute favorite Reno hotel. I've stayed at many of the others (Grand Sierra, Peppermill, Circus Circus, Silver Legacy, the Nugget and others), but the Atlantis outshines them all with their comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms, their friendly and accommodating staff, and their convenient location. The rooms are much nicer than the other hotels and well worth the money. Unlike other hotels where the cheapest rooms can be in an adjacent older building (Nugget), or have a view into the parking garage (Peppermill!), the least expensive rooms are all very nice. And the deluxe rooms are something special. They invest in extras like oversized towels, bathrobes and free bottled water. The workout room is well equipped (even fancy) and the best I've seen.
