Good for the quick night's rest
Posted Jan 14, 2013
Day's Inn is a fairly older motel, which looks like it was built in the late 50's or 60's. The central pool is large and well heated, and the surrounding patio is restful. The rooms are small, and many of the little items didn't work, like several of the wall sockets, the chair would not fit under the desk, etc. Still the low price compensates some for these little weaknesses. This is a good motel for those stopping off quickly in Reno, but we cannot recommend it for a long stay.

Not the greatest, but a reasonable value
Posted Jan 9, 2013
It was a cheap place, and you get what you paid for. Fortunately, the place was not busy, and the desk clerk was very responsive to issues. The issues were a bathtub that wouldn't drain - they promptly moved me to another room. The AC was out in the second room, but they got that fixed within an hour or less. Place was clean, and they did have nice granite sinks. (Faux granite or real - I can't tell the difference) The furniture and bedding were somewhat nicer than I was expecting and it was quiet. Anyway, a decent value, but keep your expectations reasonable.

The hotel was o.k. for a quick nights stay. The room was clean. The staff was friendly upon check in.The one thing that bothered me the most was the fact that they take an imprint of your credit card. I probably wouldn't choose this hotel again just for that reason. I will now worry about the fact that my credit card number is on a piece of paper there. Hopefully they destroy those receipts properly!!! They should invest in a more secure way to save credit card info.

Quick trip to Reno
Posted Jan 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
We needed a place to stay due to my wife's sudden need to see a oral surgeon located in Reno. This motel was central to his office and close to nice places to eat along wiit being across the street from the Meadowood Mall, which we did not visit this trip. It was nice, clean, afordable and the staff was pleasant. We were not looking for a resort and this met our needs without adding any additional problems to what we needed to do.

Close to shopping and freeway

This is a budget motel. It has warm comfortable beds and free continental breakfast. The buildings and room are showing their age but it is pretty quiet. In front is a Thai food restraunt. The food is very good and a deal. Do not go in for "fast" food as the service is very slow. Your bar tab will exceed your food tab. Across Virginia St is the Meadowood Mall, the largest mall in Reno. Target, Total Wine and Best Buy are also in the neighborhood.

Adequate for our need. Young male desk person pleasant and personable. It always is a good start. Someone released the room without towels. Not major except to some.

Clean and quiet
Posted Jan 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
My motel room was nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Continental breakfast was quite sparse and unsatisfying. The motel was difficult to find due to its very confusing signs in front. It shares the same location with Super 8 and a Thai restaurant. The Super 8 sign dominates the location; the Days Inn sign is small by comparison. Both motels are camouflaged and hidden by the Thai restaurant.

Dirty and unkept
Posted Jan 24, 2012
Pros: Where it was loated
Cons: Dirty
Location: Easily located
First, check in time was 3:00 p.m. We got there at 4:00 and they did not have our room ready. Also, the room appeared dirty and unkept. Mold in the shower and mattress that were so old they were only an inch thick. I did not even want to walk on the carpet without shoes and socks because it appeared to be so dirty. On the plus side, it was quiet and we had no problems sleeping.
