Nice but we had a minor glitch.Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Very convenient, very clean and quiet.
Location: Close to downtown and the very enjoyable "River Walk" area.
My wife forgot her electric toothbrush and charger and we called the next day and they only had the charger part and wanted a lot of money to send it to us. After a 3 night stay this seemed unreasonable. We have forgotten things in the past at other hotels and have never been charged anymore than UPS or USPS postage costs. The valet parking is somewhat of a nuisance......

STAFF WAS FRIENDLY, PARKING WAS EASY WITH THE VALET SERVICE. I WAS SURPRISED HOW LARGE THE ROOMS WERE. THEY WERE VERY CLEAN, AND THE BATH WAS UPDATED

Quiet, courteous and cleanPosted May 27, 2014
I am so glad we stayed here during my son's basketball tournament. We heard all kinds of stories from his teammates at other hotels, about how they couldn't get any sleep because it was so busy and loud. This hotel is very quiet and very close to food options.

Central hotel, rooms need some workPosted Jan 6, 2014
Location: Walking distance to some nice restaurants.
My wife and I stayed one night while driving to San Francisco from Denver. The central location of the hotel was great. Unfortunately the rooms were a little run down. The smell of smoke in the room was instantly recognizable when we walked in, even though we had requested a no-smoking room. Static electricity shocks from light fixtures and metal surfaces were frequent. The decor was dated and felt like it had not been updated or refreshed in many years. A good place to stay at short notice, but not a great place.

Great Option for Reno!Posted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: Quality classy decor and spacious room.
Cons: Check out time is 10AM...how about noon?
Location: Truckee River Walk...safe paths, great views. Movie theater. Casinos. Safe streets for a downtown.
I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel--a relaxed experience for Reno. The Plaza is a reasonably priced hotel for very good facilities. We enjoyed the room and the space. The game rooms had quality tables and the pool facility clean and warm. Being right on the river was great too as we walked along the safe path Christmas morning. If you like a more relaxed hotel close to the casinos, this is a great one...Peace, BB.

Plaza on the RiverPosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: We liked everything. :-)
Cons: Maybe the snacks in the morning could be a little more selective..
We were pleased with our room, being I booked it a couple of months before Hot August Nights. Very spacious, lovely decor and very clean. You could walk almost anywhere and see what you needed to see. And don't forget about the river, you could see it from your window.
