Good experience in RenoPosted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: Charlie Palmer's Steak House.
Cons: Just a little more sitting area in the room. I know it is a Casino and they don't want you to spend your time in the room. We don't gamble.
Location: Just passing thru the airport.
Hotel room was large and comfortable. It would have been better with another chair or couch to sit on. It only had one lounge chair and one uncomfortable desk chair. Charlie Palmer Steak house was superb. The waiter very accommodating and personable. The meal was the best of our trip to Lake Tahoe area. Everyone was friendly, including the bellman who told us about the area growing in the 37 years he lived in Reno. A very good experience.

Cons: A fridge & micro do not make a suite. No table and chairs, I asked for them. You are a hotel room. NOT a suite. Small room.No room safe. No HC exits
We had a real good time, the hotel staff were great. My wife is HC and needed a wheel chair. No problem there. Only one ramp to lower level in Casino. That was small problem. Large problem no auto doors to exit. Other guests were great helping with the doors. The food in restaurants were very good. Steak House was very expensive, the steak we had was good, but not worth what we paid, but the servers were great. Reading below sounds like you won't print this. Too bad, HC people need to know these things.

No Birthday WishesPosted Apr 16, 2015
Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE
We decided to come to the Grand Sierra because a year ago we stayed there and had a wonderful experience. Much to our dismay since our last visit, the whole place has taken quite a beating. When I checked in I informed the clerk that it was my 60th birthday! Do you think that he even wished me Happy Birthday? NO... All down hill from there. we got to our room only to find dirt everywhere. The bathroom was filthy. The beds appeared to have had someone layed on them. Not to mention hair on the pillow. We complained and were given a different room. I've been to worse Hotels but I really got the impression my business wasn't appreciated. Most places would have at least given me 25 dollars free gambling or something! Won't be back....

Pros: It has about everything you could want, no need to go anywhere else.
Cons: The elevator wait times
Location: Didn't go outside the hotel at all
well we got there at 3pm and had to wait 4hours for our room and it wasn't the room we were supposed to get. went down to gamble I mean lose some money and when we came back up to the room our key wouldn't work. not very happy, had to go back down to front desk. The wait for the elevators was heck of a long wait. Really need to fix that.

not too bad a stayPosted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: Professional, friendly, helpful agent. I liked having a tub to relax in.
Cons: Cleaner bathrooms, soap scum/mildew in shower. A small fridge would be great in rooms.
Location: We went skiing at Squaw Valley.
Front desk agent , polite, friendly, and professional. Walking towards the elevators, the smell of pizza will catch you and the tasty cupcakes. The room we stayed in, could clearly hear everything going on in the next room(up all night)
