Grand Sierra Resort was a great place to spend my mini weekend getaway! Lots of activities on-site, good food, and a clean and comfortable room. The staff was great! They were very friendly and welcoming and accommodated our needs.

Clean hotel, nice staff, good service.

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Very clean, good service.
Location: Reno... not too much in town. The casino was nice, not crowded. Restaurants were a good selection. Close to Tahoe for a day trip.
Very good deal on a 1 night stay as we were passing through town. Room was very clean and staff very nice. Not really a good view but hey, its Reno... there really isn't much to see anyway. Dinner was good in the restaurant downstairs. Bar in the middle of the casino also very nice, very quick service. Easy check-in and check-out. Pretty quiet also the night we stayed... I could not hear anyone in the hallways or in the rooms next door and that is a BIG PLUS!

Remains Outstanding

Been staying here every year for the Aie Races since '98 when it was a Hilton. GS bought it and upgraded, and continue to improve the facility every year. Highly recommended! Keep up the great work!! Even win at the casino once in a while!!

Convenient location for the air race.

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: It is well-organized and comfortable. There was sharp attention to detail.
Cons: More wall connectors or power strips to plug in the myriad of electronic devices that many of us have and take with us on travel.
Location: There was no need to go out. Everything was available in the confines of the hotel.
Very convenient full-service hotel. It was a great respite after tiring days at the air races. It was quiet and very comfortable with a variety of excellent and reasonable restaurants. There was no reason to go out for anything.

I had a reservation from the grand Sierra made by Expedia. The room was from Tuesday sept 9 th thru sept 14th. The room was for a two bed suite for handicapped, with breakfast, with four people. When we arrived there was no suite, only one king bed not handicapped. We next got a room for a night for a two bed queen night not handicapped. Next we got two beds with handicapped, but not a suite. We were also to have had breakfast Each day, we never got a breakfast. We arrived at room 1556, that was regular room.

Great location

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: I love the location, casino and food options.
Cons: More people to check you in there is always a line. They are fast and friendly but I think there is room for improvement.
Location: There is a Wal-Mart across the street and plenty to do in the hotel itself.
Everyone is very friendly and cares about your experience during your stay.

GSR BEST IN RENO

Posted Sep 14, 2014
The GSR is the best they treat there guests like real actual live people. I mean something to them. I truly believe that I really believe that. The GSR is the best in Reno. Oh and I found out what a PRO V 1 is at the GSR. I truly love that place I'll be back.

Great hotel

Pros: price, size, location, furnishings, very clean, view, shuttle service to the airport
Cons: I was pleased with everything
Location: Close to the airport
We were very pleased with our stay. The room was large, clean, nicely furnished and had a great view of the pool. It was also close to the airport for easy access with the shuttle.
