Nice hotel conveniently located

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Location is near the freeway and airport. To get to downtown Reno is less than 10 minutes. For shoppers the Summit Mall is very close.
The hotel property was very well maintained, both inside and out. The staff was very helpful and professional. Indoor swimming pool was very clean. The restaurant served us a very good dinner and breakfast.

It is unfortunate that breakfast is not offered as part of the stay.

Great stay.

Pros: Very clean. One of the cleanest hotels I've been in and very quiet guests.
Cons: Garbage truck arriving at 0445 hrs. to dump the dumpster. Hard bed. Very cold pool and very hot spa.
Location: It was just a block from the belt route and major north-south road with easy access to great restaurants and just a short drive from downtown Reno.
The front desk clerks were excellent. The whole building was clean and in good condition. The grounds were well cared for and all the exterior lighting was working as the parking area was well lit. The swimming pool was rather cold and the hot tub was very hot. We found that the shower head had been installed improperly and leaked onto the wall but everthing else was ok. The only thing bad that there was very little info on outside dining or other activities as we don't gamble and we had kids with us. We found great places to eat within minutes of the hotel on our own.

Hotel was great, awesome price and super clean! Wish breakfast actually came with the room, but McDonalds is right outside the front of the hotel, so still a win!

Everything was as it should be. We needed a nice pool, a gym with weights, and a convenient, filling breakfast and that is what we got. The in-hotel restaurant served an amazing, made-to-order breakfast. Great, comfy beds. This hotel was even out of our way 7 minutes but so worth it.

Pros: I appreciate that it's always very clean and fresh. The staff has always been wonderful.
Location: Perfect location for me since I need to be in that area of Reno when I go. It's also located near a supermarket, gas station and other amenities.
I've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Reno three times now and have found it to be consistently clean, quiet, friendly and convenient. Since my recent stay was in the days leading up to Halloween, the staff had set up a table where they displayed jack-o-lanterns they'd made. It was a fun idea that allowed guests to see the staff beyond their roles of providing everyday services at the hotel. It also created a conversation piece for guests who might otherwise not have interacted. Kudos to the Hilton Garden Inn Reno for going the extra mile. I'll certainly be back for a fourth stay!

Unfortunately, there were so many stipulations upon arrival, I wish I would have booked another (same priced) hotel down the street. Besides having a non-refundable booking which we knew about beforehand, we were charged an additional $40 to check in a couple hours early to make it to a wedding in time. Since we've stayed at other Hilton Garden Inns, I was confident we'd get the same treatment and cleanliness for this location. - Not the case. Our room looked standard, but the carpet had several dark stains. Neither I nor my boyfriend dared to walk barefoot or even with socks. Also, we had made it clear prior to arrival of our light-sleeping requirements. Upon check-in, we also noted, to which we were assigned a room tucked away. However, our room was sandwiched between other neighbors to the sides and above. We heard loud talking next door and stomping above all through the night and very early morning. With practically an empty hotel, why were we given a room so close to others? I will never know... I can say, the morning breakfast and wait staff were excellent.
