Nice, affordable, great location.

Pros: Location and rates. Also nice large room and comfortable bed.
Somebody on our floor started playing 3-4 notes over and over on a flute or similar instrument about 12:30 or 1:00 a.m. in the morning. It wasn't loud but could hear it enough we were unable to get back to sleep. Thought at first maybe is was a "street musician", but since we were on the 26th floor kinda doubt it! It went on until we checked out at 6:30 a.m. Made for an extra long 12 hr. drive home being a bit sleep deprived. Otherwise, we were very pleased and will stay again. We should have called the desk but kept figuring they would quit soon. Not the case.

In Sparks and cheap

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Clean and well layed out. Gilleys was the best food and cheap!
Cons: Rooms were not cleaned till late afternoon. Noisy and needed ear plugs. No spa services and everything is closed like the buffet in the AM.
Location: A couple casinos if your staying here you will need a car.
It was a nice place although the room was very noisy and had earplugs in the room... We stayed three days the bed was average the pillows were not great. Reno was a great city and now not so booming. Weird because we lived there when it was booming years ago.

I really like this hotel. The only think I did't like is that the arcade is to small, I was especting more games for the kids like in circus circus, but the rest it was fine.

Pros: The hotel staff was very nice
Location: We were there for national wrestling tournament's so we did not do a lot of other things.
I did not like the fact that smoking was being allowed on non-smoking floors and people smoking in non-smoking rooms near mine.

Pleasant Stay

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Rooms were okay, not great. The armoire in the room took up useable space and didn't really add to the amenities.
Location: We mostly visited the Casino, did play golf in the area
We stayed at the hotel and visited Rosie's Restaurant, the food and service were great, the staff friendly. The casino was comfortable, except for the cigarette smoke, which is pervasive in all Nevada casinos. The casino staff were fun, friendly and service oriented. Overall enjoyed my stay.

clean

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: rooms were clean
Cons: have more help to solve the problems
Location: had to come to reno for family reasons
there was not enough staff to check-in, no help at the front door, pretty hard to open a door in a wheelchair, tried to get some help fixing the ice machine on the 17 floor. this was for third nights, finally left on our fourth night, the wife and i had a enough. water all over the floor.

big adventure for my greatgrand son and his friend

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: staff was great and easy to work with as they have been in the past.
Cons: when gambling there were no runners around to bring a drink as you had to get up most of the time and leave your machine and get your own.
Location: wild island for kids is about 2 miles away and is a great entertainment feature for them.
staff was great as always. we had a great time as the wild island park for kids is close so they had a great time there. However the casino has been sold to a cooperate company and they have made many changes to benefit the company. Seems the family owned business is always better.

Contrast of styles

Pros: indoor swimming pool
Cons: restaurants, networking
Location: museums and shopping
the price is more than reasonable. this hotel has very friendly stuffs, and clean and comfortable room. the view is incredible. my daughter just wanted to stay in their indoor swimming pool. but our stay was less than satisfactory. the hotel is right off a train station. we stayed at 25th floor. there were some noise early in the morning from loading and unloading containers from the trains in you are staying in the east site. the bed side of our room had no electricity. the stuffs offered to move us to another room. but it was ~7:30pm when we had not have dinner. most reno restaurants close at 9pm. so we told them that we would find something to eat first. my daughter had a hard time reading her night time books we ordered our dinner from the Noodle Nut in the hotel at 7:50pm. we got our food ~8:45pm. for fast food, really? we could go anywhere else for half the money and time. nugget offers free wifi without login. our android tablet had not trouble to logon after downloading their app. my wife's nokia 1020 (w8) had no issue neither. but we tried >40' the first night to logon with my daughter's laptop with window8. so I asked the hotel attendants to help. an validate parking employee finally got it connected. but we had no idea how it worked. the next night I had no luck. so I went to the parking and lobby for help. no luck whatever. I spent ~1hr on window 8, and found out that the security software of this network is so outdated that w8 can't accept it.
