Perfect LocationPosted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: Beautiful hotel
Cons: More air filtration in the casinos and even on a smoke-free floor.
Location: Convenient to all of Reno.
Peppermill was a perfect choice to stay - easy shuttle from airport, very polite staff. Car rental on site was an important factor - agent went out of his to give us a great car and get us on our way. Entertainment in the Terrace Lounge that weekend was fantastic! Room was clean and comfortable. The only detraction was the smoky environment in the casino.

Hostess Not the MostessPosted Mar 3, 2014
I felt that we gambled quite a bit on our stay and flew in from out of state. When we asked the hostess about possible comps we got a puzzled look. After she was done gossiping with the person on the other line we were told "Do to the economy comps just are not like they use to be." Well thanks for nothing. We'll stick with Ceasars Rewards.

Would Stay There AgainPosted Mar 2, 2014
Cons: I left my driver's license at the cashier and no attempt was made to find me even though I was a guest at the hotel.
The room was small but adequate. The casino area is clean and restaurants Chi, the Deli, and the Buffet were great.

Nice hotelPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: It is a very clean hotel. Out of the main drag.
I have stayed at this hotel 3 other times. I love this hotel, however this time I have to say wasn't as good as the other 3. We could hear the TV in the other room every time they had it on. The bed did not seem as comortable as before, and it seemed we could smell the smoke more. We were in the North wing on the 3rd floor where before I think we were in the tower. I still think this is a great hotel and would go back again.

Nice placePosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: The rooms in the Tuscany Tower. Service was above par.
Cons: Pool area is nice but was lacking showers pre and post swimming. No lifeguards either.
Nice place and would definitely recommend rooms in the Tuscany Tower. Lots of kids around.

Non-smoking rooms had strong odor of cigarettesPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Decor of the casino was very nice.
Cons: Rooms need to be odor free and clean. The air filter need to be changed. The casino HVAC, duct work and filtration system should be separate from room
Location: Convenient location, closer to suburb of Reno than the other Casinos. Close to Mt. Rose.
The room we stayed in has a strong odor of cigarette smoke. We started noticing the cigarette smell as we started down the corridor of the first floor. The odor became stronger when we reached the second floor. We stayed in the West Wing on the second floor. I don't know what it was like on the third floor, but I can only imagine the smell would get worse the higher one goes. When I got to the room, I was so hoping that the odor was only present in the halls. But to my disappointment, the room was fill with the stench of cigarettes. For two nights and with the fan on full blast for two days straight, the smell never went away. Whether it was using the heater or just the fan, the odor only slightly improved. I had the fan on the whole time I was there, so the air became extremely dry. Air filter in the room was old and clogged. My clothes had absorbed the smoky smell, so even when I left the room I could smell the odor. The bed linens also had the smell. I slept upright with the cover away from my face. I should have heeded some of the reviews I read on expedia and yelp. I thought that maybe I would be lucky and avoid getting a bad room. I thought other people reviews of getting a smoky smelling room might have been one of those exceptions, since the Peppermill had a 4 star ratings. It very we'll could be that the resort overall is 4 stars. But rating the room along, it give it 2 stars. Subpar for a place that is suppose to live up to its reputation. I was miserable.
