Nice Hotel

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Nice hotel. This hotel is updated, nice and clean. Only down fall is that it's pricey, the coffee shop is expensive compare to other hotels in the area.

Great Hotel, One of the best in Reno

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Large, clean room. Excellent restaurants.
Location: Only two miles from downtown Reno. Highly recommend the nearby National Automobile Museum.
Wonderful hotel, excellent restaurants. I ate at four of their restaurants and all were great. My room in the Tuscany Tower was fantastic. Very clean, large bathroom. Highly recommended.

Faux-Italianissimo

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Have to give props to superior HVAC. No cigarette smoke and no smoke from the King, CA fire which had blanketed the place.
Cons: Check-in.
If you like over-the-top imitation Roman architecture, paintings and decor, then you'll like the Peppermill. The wait for check-in was somewhat long. Buffet dinner in the Island Buffet was mostly good although the smoked salmon was dried out and tired, among items that looked like they hadn't been handled well or replenished frequently.

Great Spot for a Stay-cation

Posted Sep 24, 2014
During check in the staff was very friendly. Check in was at 3pm and I arrived at 2:30. I was told the room wasn't ready yet and there was no estimate of when it would be ready. So I had to sit and wait. For over an hour. I was disappointed that the room wasn't ready by 3, the check in time. Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the entertainment at Edge and the pool the next day.

West Wing surprise ?

Posted Sep 20, 2014
I love the Hotel but was surprised to be placed in the West Wing that was to far for a senior to walk into the Casino. Never stayed in this part of the Hotel before. I will make it a priority to ask next time for my room to be in the main Hotel.

Peppermill, Reno, NV

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, atmosphere, staff, dining. So superior to other hotels in Reno I've stayed at.
Cons: Bed.
Location: Lots of things to do besides gambling.
Best hotel in Reno, by far. About the only problem we had was with the bed which was lumpy and too firm. We requested that it be flipped over. Not sure if it was or not. The service was excellent. No view -- would have been nice to look out the big window at something other than the roof and equipment there.

Single Night Stay

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Lots of food service choices
Cons: Check-in takes too long
Location: Aside from the hotel itself there isn't much to do in the immediate area.
Had an early am appointment in Reno so decdied to stay at the Peppermill the night befoe. It's about 3 miles off Hwy 80 down some pretty sketchy parts of town. Not dangerous - at least during the day - but rundown and low-life in appearance. The hotel has plenty of free parking. The check-in time per customer needs imporvement. Had a King room in the main tower on the 10th floor. Room was done up in Roman style (I guess). Anyway it was clean anfd comfortable though I'm not a fan of the throws they use as the third and fourth pillows. Not even sure if they have replaceable cpvers. Had dinner in the steak house on the 2nd floor which was very good. Would repeat and recommend especially for the low prices.
