Don't be fooled by the pools

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Let me keep thinking and I'll get back to you
Cons: Selecting a different hotel would be a nice improvement
Location: Reasonable BBQ joint down the road called "Men Wielding Fire"
I wanted to have a quick stay at a nice place where I could sit by the pool, read and have a splash if I wanted to. Experience was otherwise. The pool was awash with screaming children and ringed with adults who where equally loud. The placement of the pools ensures that they're in the shade but that the buildings capture the wind and funnel it down in the late afternoon. The hotel itself is a Labyrinth. To get to my room required that I find my way to the "West Tower", which, after much walking, proved to be a remote annex that wasn't even attached to the main hotel. I appears as if the hotel decided to shoe-horn in as many rooms as they could onto the space they had so building two squat (3 stories), unremarkable buildings, crammed into the remote corners of the property like some Land of Broken Toys. Getting from my room to any of the ridiculously overpriced restaurants proved to be a feat of patience, stamina and navigation that would have tried Magellan if he were in the same position. The room itself was unremarkable with the exception of two key features, no hot water in the shower and a room that looked out onto a road where cars could be heard hitting some metallic feature for most of the night. I came to the realization that, as I checked out, still shivering from my cold shower, that my time at the hotel was at the historic low-end of experience which includes stays in former Soviet hotels. Find elsewhere to stay

Very nice room

The front desk couldn't figure out where my reservation was, it was annoying since I had been driving for quite some time. Once in the room it was great! Nice room and amenities. P. S.: Food inside the casino was over priced, if you are on a budget I would recommend eating your meals elsewhere.

Clean room! Very nice and comfy! TV in the bathroom is GREAT and overall great space. Just wish the refrigerator didn't come pre-stocked with hotel beverages. No room for personal beverages.

Great get away

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Food was great, think we ate at all the restaurants.
Cons: Had to wait forever for the elevators. Casino was a bit smoky.
We were assigned a terrible room but they immediately moved us to another room when I told them I was not pleased, it's right next to the spotlights and hvac units. We stayed here because my brother in law got married and everything was great. I am a non smoker and really appreciated that all the restaurants were non smoking.

Pros: has everything you would expect from a decent hotel
Cons: be aware of north wing, its a long walk from everything, dont let them send you to the north wing
We stayed for one night. room is good, if a bit old comparing to las vegas. probably the best of what reno has to offer.

Pros: Convenience for all amenities. The price is very reasonable.
Stayed here for an overnight get together with friends and family. Everywhere we went in the resort was very enjoyable. The staff at every level was exceptional.
