Never been to Reno before...doubt I would go back...however, would definitely make a side trip to stay at the Grand Sierra again! If you are en route somewhere ...make a detour - well worth it! The hotel was first class all the way...great selection of restaurants and the food was amazing (buffet not so good...but ok). The staff are pleasant and helpful, the rooms were well appointed and beds comfy. The casino was good too...light, bright, no smoke smell. If I had one suggestion for the hotel, it would be to have more entertainment. The pool is great ...even has a beach! Unfortunately the weather gods were not in our favour - but we did manage a quick dip in the large hot tub. Great hotel if you travelling with kids...there's bowling, an arcade, go karts...

They put me on The Club Level, which was on the 28th floor of the West Tower. It was a nice and spacious room with an extra TV in the bathroom. It was on the railroad side (rather than the freeway side), which is very quiet.

The room itself was fantastic, and the manager was very nice. However, there was 1 Major hang-up. I'm not sure which end is responsible, but basically the room and complex is for long term (30 days or more) stays. When searching Expedia, this location came up for a 1 nights stay, which is totally wrong. Luckily, the manager called me back right away, and informed me of the mistake. We both tried to find another hotel room, however seeing as it was Valentines day weekend and Presidents day weekend, all options had been eliminated. I was very fortunate to have such kind and understanding management, for they allowed us to stay only 1 night, despite their business being a long-term rental.
This could have been an absolutely horrible experience if it weren't for the management. The complex itself was fully furnished, very nice, and fit the description exactly. Again, I am not sure who is at fault here for posting this add incorrectly, but I do know that we were able to avoid a disastrous trip.
