“Stay away !!!”
This place was an extrem disapoinment. First room assigned was dirty and unmade. Overall condition of motel is very poor. I have boarded my dogs in better places. Breakfast was coffee, cold cerial ada couple of mini muffins. Stay here if not afread of disease. What a hole !
“Rude, dirty, and lots of bees.”
Owner or whoever he was , was very rude. Hotel looked old, it was dirty on the outside and in the lobby. Room was okay, beds not comfortable, and walls were dirty. A lot of bees outside the room. Bees were dead all over the ground, alive on the walls, and buzzing around the light by our door. One flew in our room and freaked my kid out. I killed that one. But lots of bees dead and alive all over. I will never stay here again and probably avoid super 8 in general if this is their quality.
“Not satisfied”
Manager charged me 50 bucks thought i have 3rd party reservation through expedia. I tried to call them 3 times to know what the hack the charges are for ?? They took my number but no one responded for a week. i had to file complain to Super 8 customer service. Still struggling to get my money back.. causing me unnecessary trouble ..
“NOT FOR FIRST-TIME VISITORS”
If you're visiting Reno for the first-time ever, Super 8 Motel located near the University of Reno should, perhaps, not be your first choice. As a first-timer to the BIGGEST LITTLE CITY IN THE WORLD, my stay at this particular SUPER 8, unfortunately, didn't manage to leave me with a lasting or favorable impression to recommend it. For starters, the rooms desperately need upgrading. Room furniture was terribly scratched, there were inoperable light fixtures and the overall room amenities left me with a feeling of being in a really bad 2-star motel. Also, I encountered a very weird situation with there being what was, seemingly, a property-wide blackout. No lights, pitch black during the wee hours of the morning when I returned. Didn't feel safe. Also, a request for a wake up call never happened. Luckily, I woke up on my own recognizance or else I would have missed my only AMTRAK train scheduled out of Reno that day. Management was pleasant enough but not overly so. The location of the hotel was not compatible with a first-timer's usual desire to be convientently located in the downtown area. You can't easily walk from this motel to downtown without feeling you're in the middle of nowhere. The only upside to my experience was a local cab driver's precision of arriving the next morning exactly at the time he promised to be there. Overall, I suppose if you're just looking to crash anywhere for just one night ...then, by all means, try it. Otherwise, hard to say
“Don't Stay Here”
The exterior of the hotel sent a shiver up my spine when we drove in. It's a dump. The pool had "not been serviced for the season yet"......who are they kidding? It was June in Reno, NV for goodness sake! They shouldn't be advertising a pool. The staff was extremely difficult to work with. They refused to give me a $0 balance statement for my room damage deposit even after they went and checked that the room was ok. But, they insisted on keeping my CC# on file. The room was clean if you ignored the broken drawer and splintered backplate on the dresser. This room was not worth the rate we paid.
“THE PLACE DOES NOT HAVE A BREAKFAST”
PRETTY RUN DOWN AND IF YOU PICK A PLACE FOR A FREE BREAKFAST THIS ISN'T THE PLACE TWO OUT OF THREE DAYS THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ANY COFFEE MADE TWO OUT OF THREE DAYS THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY MILK FOR THE COLD CEREAL ALL THREE DAYS THEY EITHER DIDN'T HAVE ANY MINI [AND I MEAN MINI] MUFFINS OR THEY REN OUT WHILE WE ATE AND DIDN'T REFILL THEM AND THE POOL WAS COLD
“Good for Low Budget”
The room was sufficient, but not extraordinary. The people there are fantastic and very accomodating. They are pleasant (even after midnight). I would recommend this hotel, but not to anyone who needs fancy. There was a hole in the bathroom door, but the place was clean and good enough for a couple nights.
“Close to UNR but must love bugs”
I stayed at this hotel because I was attending graduation at the the University. The location is good, very close to campus. The price is good, but you can also get similar rates downtown if there is not an event going on. It was a good thing I wasn't in the room very much because I don't like bugs. There were countless ants in the bathroom. Various other bugs and spiders were found on the walls and ceiling. There was even a long dead spider in a corner. I could see that it might be difficult keeping the pests at bay but it didn't appear that there were any measures being taken to control them at all. The front desk was no help in the matter. They were not very accomodating when I had to leave for the airport at 4am and wanted to use their lobby microwave to warm up some food I had with me for breakfast. It was too much of a bother to let me in. Long story short - you get what you pay for but I would not stay here again unless it was all I could afford.
“Horrible Hotel”
The room smelled musty and the beds were horribly uncomfortable. The continental breakfast consisted of two kinds of cereal and warm milk. Got the last half cup of orange juice which never got refilled. After a while, the manager brought out 7 mini muffins which were gone immediately. I guess they're trying to save money by not serving any food at the continental breakfast.
“Horrible Service”
We left muffins, juice and such in the room while going out to a local event. We were back to the room well before check-out, but discovered that our room had been emptied! Everything we had in the room still was gone. I let the front desk attendant know when checking out; he laughed and said "OK!" No way I'd go to this location again after that service.
