Good Value near UniversityPosted Feb 4, 2014
It is decent to spend a night. Do not expect anything more than a good sleep and a shower. Old CRT TVs in room will remind you of the money you paid for the rooms. I would recommend it for people on budget.

Great for quick overnight stayPosted Nov 30, 2013
We stay here periodically when we go visit our daughter at the college. Don't have to fool with the casino traffic and parking older rooms but clean and the hotel staff is friendly.

The bedding needs to be changed and washed properly. The sheets had stains on them. That was inappropriate.

Perfect location for the Reno Balloon RacesPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Great location for my needs.
Cons: General updates and building maintenance.
Location: Reno Hot Air Balloon Races right across the street.
The front desk was very nice and helpful. The hotel seemed a bit old and run down for what I paid for one room. However, the location was what I booked this hotel for and it was perfect for what we needed it for and it took us maybe 8 minutes to walk to the Reno Balloon Races from the hotel and we didn't have to deal with parking or waking up so early for a 1.5 hour drive all the way to Reno.

Building needs work, but staff are top notchPosted Sep 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Building that this Super 8 resides in has some miles on it. There is work going on to fix sidewalks, maybe the air conditioners are from the 70s, and maybe the whole thing is asking for a face lift. But honestly, we just needed to sleep and shower there so the building covered our needs. What stood out about this Super 8 was the Staff. The Manager, Amrik, was dealing with a flood of people coming in from after Burning Man and a faulty network connection that pulled him away from the reservation system. But the man triaged each situation and greeted everyone kindly with a smile. All of his staff were similarly professional and courteous the whole time. This Super 8 went out of it's way to help us out with special requests and timing issues, and they never missed a beat. Highly recommended. Again, the building itself might be a bit run down, but the people running it are doing amazing jobs.
