This is not your typical Super 8. The very small facility looks like a converted apartment building in a low-end residential neighborhood. Not much parking and NO elevator. If not for the very nice proprietor, I'd have been unhappy with this motel.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Stayed two nights during a busy holiday weekend with no disruptions. Only complaint would be that the roll out bed I requested felt like springs wrapped in sheets. Would have been better off on the floor.

A long way from anythingPosted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Ok, it was a room, a bed and a shower. I checked in at 4 pm and was told the room was not ready, not fun. So I killed some time going to the market, getting gas, etc, finally at just before five I went to the room and the maid was just finishing. My room was non-smoking which was fine, but the outside hallway reeked of cigarette smoke. Ok for just an overnight, but my room was way overpriced for what it was.

Clean & Good Service - Poor BreakfastPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
I typically stay at Marriott locations because I use my business points for leisure trips... but I was out of points and chose the Super 8. The rooms are not as nice which I expected, but service was good and the room was clean (non-smoking). The only thing I was disappointed with was the very lacking continental breakfast - it was waffles, cereal and pre-wrapped pastries only. I like breakfast (Marriotts are much better) but we went next door to the Iron Skillet and it was a fairly economical, good tasting breakfast.

Extremely Smokey in Lobby and HallsPosted Aug 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hard to find location, but did finally find it find with help from navigation system. I blame myself because we didn't leave like the people before us. The level of smoke in lobby should have been a clue as to us why the couple left so quickly, but we decided to stay anyway. Cleanliness of room left something to be desired, but room seemed relatively smoke free. Pool had debris from trees floating in it, so kids could not swim. Do not understand how quality of Super 8 Motels can vary so much.

Chosen for locationPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: It was very reasonably priced through Expedia.
Cons: See experience comments above.
Location: We were not there during the day, but at the home of our friends.
We were in Sparks for a family celebration and need a place to sleep for two nights. Generally, it was quite satisfactory. The bottom sheet on the bed had a cigarette burn in it, but housekeeping changed it before the second night. Breakfast was acceptable, but not a lot of choices. My husband said the waffles were really good; I did't have any.

It was exactly what we expected. No more, no less. Not a bad place to stay for the night. There was lots of road construction in the area. I did not have a chance to visit the pool. The biggest negative for me is that there was a very strong odor from cigarettes permeating the hallways. The non-smoking room was fine. Staff were courteous, professional, efficient and helpful

Thank you for choosing the Super 8 for your stay. I appreciate that you toke the time to let us know how our property is doing. I do apologize for the road construction, they are extending Sparks Blvd to going into South Reno. I hope it was not too loud or a inconvenience to get to our property. I am sorry the hallway smelled of smoke. We unfortunately still do have some smoking rooms on our third floor of the hotel. I am glad to hear that your non-smoking room you did not smell any smoke from the hallway. I hope you continue to choose Super 8 for your future stays.

Outdated and not very cleanPosted Jul 1, 2013
Pros: Air conditioning works
Cons: Almost everything is outdated and very cheap. Also could use a good cleaning
Location: Location was a plus. Very close to scheels and the legends shopping outlets. Also has the alamo casino next door with dollar beers.
Well the only reason I booked here is I had 3 free nights in boomtown that me and the wofe used and ended up wanting to stay another night in the reno area and everything else was either booked or all that was left was rooms for a couple hundred per night. Soo I payed 105 to stay here. I was pretty disapointed. Room was not very clean at all. Went to take a shower and the shower head was even dirty and nasty. Beds where probably the worst beds I've ever slept in. Would have been better off throwing a sheet in the bed of my truck. There were a couple positives though. The room did have air condition and it did work! Thank god because it was 108 out when we checked in. Also we were very close to scheels and the legends shopping area. The staff was also pretty pleasant.

Thank you for choosing Super 8 for your stay. I am sorry you had to pay a rate of $105. Unfortunately during event weekends our rates are a little higher. I was glad to hear that we were lower than the other hotels charging a couple hundred per night. I apologize that your room was not up to our standards. I have talked to my staff about checking the shower heads to ensure they are being properly cleaned by our maids. I will also train my maids on how to properly clean the shower heads. I do appreciate the positive feedback of the hotel on the air conditioning, and the staff treating you well. I do hope you still choose Super 8 for your future stays.
