Top Hotel in PlakiasPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable, good facilities. Good location, slightly off the main road but within easy access of all bars and restaurants.
Cons: The bathroom was tiny.
Location: The villages of Myrthios and Sellia (just up the hill) have stunning views and excellent food. Well worth a 20 minute drive. Sunset Heaven!
A nice hotel but the friendly staff, excellent location, good public facilities, cleanliness and overall good feel of the place are diminished by the bathroom, which even by Greek standards is inadequate. Having said that, we have stayed there 3 times because it is probably the best of what Plakias has to offer.

A luxurious oasis close to beach and restuarants.Posted Sep 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Hotel lobby, pool, grounds etc. were beautifully kept and the room was smart and bright with the exception of a tight shower. An air of peace and tranquility pervaded. The beach opposite the hotel is a bit rocky but by moving a few hundred metres to the left you reach a gorgeous sandy beach with mid-sized breakers. At the far end of this beach is a discreet nudist bathing area. There are many wonderful (and good value) restaurants in Plakias town within 400 metres of the hotel - we used these rather than the buffet in the hotel which looked fair but predictable.

Well run hotel, pleasure to stay therePosted Sep 5, 2013
Pros: Plenty of outside tables and chairs, for breakfast, dinner, bar. Clean and pleasant pool area. Wonderful breakfast and optional smorgasbord dinner.
Cons: Our standard room was a little small but adequate. The delightful bedding made up for that. We would have liked another English speaking TV channel.
Location: Short walk to the village and beach. We used hotel as a base to visit nearby monasteries, gorge, valley.
We found this hotel to be a delightful experience. Attractive gardens, everything well maintained, friendly and helpful staff.

nice hotel but....Posted Aug 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is lovely and the staff were friendly. I was put in a separate section across a car park where they have about 6 rooms. The furniture, bedding etc is all substandard to the main hotel. I spoke to the management about this who assured me it was quality, however, upon seeing the main hotel rooms, this wasn't the case.

This was our first visit to Plakias and we selected the Alianthos Garden Hotel after doing a lot of internet research. We were delighted with everything about the hotel and definately chose the best hotel in the area in this price bracket. Expedia's description is spot on. We didn't have dinner so can only comment on the breakfast food. This was adequate and the waiters were always topping up the buffet so everything fresh. The pool seemed a bit smaller than pictures might suggest and sun beds a little cramped - this may be the only disappointment for avid pool lovers but we are beach people, so no problem.
