Hotel dead in the center of ReykjavikPosted Sep 28, 2014
It was a nice enough place to stay. expected slightly more as the photos we saw seemed nicer more modern and quirky. Overall the stay was perfect location great, staff nice, clean and all the things you need.

Superb ApartmentPosted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: The location, the bed, the shower.
Location: In the heart of Reykjavik
The location of apartment is right in the heart of Reykjavik. The studio is big. The bed is atomic bed and it is really comfortable. It had the best shower ever.

Awesome in every way, except...Posted Aug 6, 2014
Location was fantastic, beds super comfortable, clean with great things like a kitchen that included dishes and a fridge. The ONLY terrible thing was the GLASS door on the toilet. You need privacy? Too bad because this toilet can be seen from both the bed and the couch. Why even have a door? Why not put the toilet in front of the TV because you are front and center with each use. Really disturbing that anyone would embrace this huge design flaw. Bah!

Not worth itPosted Jul 18, 2014
The few good things about Apartment K do not make up for the bad. The light bulb in our bathroom was out, it took 5 days and three requests to get it fixed. Lots a street noise at all hours, closing the window didn't help. Apartment was dingy and not well maintained. The bathroom didn't have a door, only a clear glass slider. I was not traveling alone. It got awkward.

Spacious quirky apartment in a great locationPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Great location. Lots of space. Good heating.
Cons: No curtain in the shower, so water could go a little bit all over the bathroom.
Location: Central location, very handy to walk around and shop.
Stayed at a studio in Apartment K for 5 nights. While the decoration can be a little bit bizarre, it is a very practical and spacious room and as I was hiking, the kitchen and fridge were very handy to prepare meals to take with me on the treks. Location of the apartments is great, very central and close to Grey Lines tours terminal, which means that if you take a tour with them, you don't need to be picked up half an hour in advance, you can just walk to them in 5 minutes. I was staying in room 6, which is the last apartment to the back of the building. It's very handy to get in/out as you can do it directly through a back door instead of walking all the way to the front door. The downside is that on Friday and Saturday night you're very close to,the crowd going clubbing, so some noise can be heard from the street.

Central and spaciousPosted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Location and helpfulness of staff
Cons: Check serviceability of some furniture items
Location: Centrally located so plenty of choice in restaurants, shopping and other activities.
Check-in staff were very helpful, bed extremely comfortable and the apartment was spacious and centrally located. Living area had some chairs with very wobbly legs so would recommend that serviceability is checked from time-to-time. Would definitely rent this apartment again.

central apartmentPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Central for daytime
Location: Near most of the sights of Reykjavik and in the main shopping street.
Apartment a bit tatty. No instructions for oven, hob or TV and we didn't manage to get any of them to work. Don't stay here if you like your sleep as it's in the middle of the party area; streets crawling with very noisy revellers from midnight to 5am.

okPosted Jun 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
OK. No signs showing where it is. In the list of rules it said WiFi was only to be used for emails and would be monitored. There should be free WiFi for all guests when and how you need it in this day and age. Room was OK. Bathroom door did not slide shut.

Spacious but not worth the pricePosted Jun 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
If you are just looking for a larger place to stay in the city, then you might enjoy your stay. We did find the apartment to be modern in style, but for the price you pay, you can get more elsewhere. The biggest hang up was the horrid smell of sulfur in the water. We aren't ignorant to the fact that of course the source of the water is the cause of the sulfur smell, but higher end places were filtering the water so you did not smell sulfur. Most places we stayed did not have the problem. It was so unbearable that we could barely stand to take a shower and had to keep the door closed to the bathroom the entire time. The apartment was also on the top floor and was always stuffy and uncomfortable even with all the windows open. I just was not impressed with what they are offering considering how much people are paying to stay.
