Do not take the hire car back before you check in!

Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: Nice room & good breakfast with plenty of choice.
Cons: Information which makes it very clear that it is not possible to walk to/from it if you're using the airport.
Location: There is nothing to do nearby. It's surrounded by blocks of flats and industrial units. Keflavik town is about 3 miles away, & the airport about 5.
The hotel is ok & good value for what it is, but be warned that it's about 5 miles from the Departure Terminal. DO NOT take your hire car back before going to the hotel. Technically it is close to the airport, but only to the boundary fence on the far side away from where you have to go to check in. They do operate a shuttle service to the airport, but if we'd taken our hire car back prior to checking in (as we intended to save time in the morning as we were on an early flight), we'd have had to get an airport taxi to take us to the hotel from Europcar/Hertz (they're in the same building).

Pros: Staff
A nice hotel with pleasant and friendly staff, a clean room/bathroom. Would definitely book again if I had an early/late flight. Breakfast was good too.

Very best value for money accommodation

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Very clear & spacious room that is 3 minutes drive to Reykjavik airport.
Cons: Maybe the reception/lobby can be upgraded.
Location: It's a 3 minutes drive to Reykjavik Airport, we didn't go out coz we have an early flight, I don't think there's a lot to do in the area.
This is a very best value for money accomodation if you need a place very near to Reykjavik Airport they have a free shuttle that have a regular 3 minutes drive to the airport. We booked this hotel because of its cheap rate and we needed a place to stay overnight for our flight the next morning. We are very surprise because we find this place even better compare to some other Hotels that we have stayed while we are driving around Iceland, definitely this is the "BEST VALUE FOR MONEY" accomodation, it should be a hotel and not Bed & Breakfast category. They have very clean shower/toilet and very spacious room, we stayed in room 122 which can accommodate 3 person. Definitely very highly recommended to fellow travelers, we will stay here again next time we travel to Iceland!

Excellent overnight stay between fligths

Posted Mar 31, 2015
This hotel is the ideal place to be when stopping over between flights. The free shuttle from and to the airport, the friendly staff, the spacious room, and very good breakfast buffet makes this hotel absolutely recommendable. Would not hesitate to book again.

Gutes Hotel in Flughafennähe für frühen Flug

Posted Mar 30, 2015

Cheap and convenient

Posted Mar 24, 2015
had low expectations given the price but for what we wanted it for it was perfect. Flew in late at night, got picked up and dropped back to the airport the next morning to pick up our rental. For a decent bed and a good nights sleep it did the job.

Convenient for early or late flight

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Its proximity to the airport and free transfers
Cons: Refreshments in each room - bit of an inconvenience if you fancy a cup of tea when you wake up but aren't dressed
Location: Reykjavik is about 40 minutes from the airport. The US air base is closed so lots of empty buildings around B&B, plenty of parking if you have car.
Close to Keflavik Airport so can arrange free pick up and return to the airport. Need to go from airport to get buses into Reykjavik (re.is). Good for overnight stop on way from or to airport if going or arriving late/early. Thing we found most unusual is no kettle or refreshments in the room but you can help yourself to these from the machine in the breakfast area. Area around does not have much so wouldn't want to stay longer than 1 night without a car. We were fortunate to see the Northern Lights when coming back from dinner about 8.30 p.m. and got some pictures on my phone. We booked a tour later in our stay to see them but no colour was visible then so pleased I got the pictures earlier. However seeing the lights is never guaranteed.
