Good budget hotel. Very pleased that there was tea, coffee and sugar supplied. It was only a 15 minute walk from city centre. Staff were brilliant when asking questions via email_ very speedy replies.common room and washing machines available.

Excellent price and very convenient!

We stayed at this hotel during our 2 week trip around Iceland. The convenience of being able to check in when you want was excellent! We had a car rental during our trip and the included parking was great. The hotel is quite a distance for the touristy city center so you will need transportation or have to pay to leave your car in the center. The hotel really went out of there way offering to send postcards and letting you use their hotel phone to book activities. We would definitely recommend.

Home from home

Pros: Left us to our own devices.
Cons: A bit more tourist information would have been appreciated - but I could say that of the whole of Iceland!
Location: Late-night supermarket and petrol station nearby. Close to city centre and easy to find.
Brilliant set up. Cheap, everything you need, efficiently run. We felt so relaxed. Perfect 2 night stop over for the whole family.

Good place to stay if you have a car

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: It's location and the set-up
This small but comfortable apartment hotel is located approximately 8 minutes from centre of town. IT has ample parking and a decent restaurant close by as well as a grocery store and bakery. Room was small but comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff were most accommodating and very efficient in all respect. Checking process was explained clearly by e-mail and went without a hitch. We would return to this hotel should we have a chance to revisit Iceland.

Family of 5 with 3 young children (10,9 and 3)

Pros: Convenient to the centre of Reykjavik which is only 10 minutes walk or directly on several bus routes. Also simple to get to the main swimming pool.
Cons: Only improvement was the television which was analogue and only had one channel. That said we barely needed a television given there was so much to do
Location: Saga Museum, Volcano Show (pricey), the Pearl, Settlement Museum, zoo & swimming pool. With the car - Golden Circle tour.
We had a family room for the five of us - a large room with beds and sofa bed & a bathroom & corner kitchen - hob & microwave. Great location. We liked the games room with its pool table & computer with wifi access. TV could have been more up to date but we rarely used this anyway. We spent 4 days exploring Reykjavik (inc activities below mainly based around the Viking history) and 3 days with a car when we did our own Golden Circle tour with Gullfoss, the waterfall, geysir and back through Thingvellir National Park. We spent a day exploring the Reykjanes peninsula and the third day we drove north of Reykjavik to the countryside around Borganes. Long days but it was light so late (way past midnight) it hardly mattered. Not as expensive as we thought. Car hire, petrol and eating out all roughly the same as at home - £55 for 2 big pizzas and 3 kids plus 2 beers & refillable soft drinks. Food in supermarkets is more expensive than the UK as you'd expect particularly for imported branded products so when self catering you do have to do a bit of planning ahead. Only eyewatering price was minced beef at £10 for 500g!! We used the swimming pool lots (very reasonable) in Reykjavik and the children loved the warm water, hot pots and activities, although the naked communal showering took a little getting used to. Would have loved to do some of the more adventurous activities inc the glacier walking and snow-mobiling - perhaps next time once we have saved.

Nice place

Posted May 1, 2014
Pros: Has a kitchen in the room
Cons: Water smelled like sulfur and it was very hot in the bathroom.
Simple, easy-going apartment style accommodation a 15 minute walk from downtown Reykjavik. It was just what we were looking for for the weekend.

Amazing!!

Brilliant spacious apartments, we booked a double and it had bed space for 5! Good powerful hot shower, fully equipped kitchen, dining area and tv with English channels. All the little extras that cost a fortune to buy for a week were available... Salt&pepper, oil, tea, coffee, sugar, cleaning products, washing up liquid and toilet roll! 15 minute walk to town, loads of space for the cars, would definitely stay there again!!
