My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel from 1st-6th December 14 and it was just lovely. Cosy clean and modern room with ample space and facilities. It said there were 400 channels on the TV when there were probably about 5 - though who needs TV channels when you're in Iceland! If you stay here make sure to find out which building you are in before booking tours or transfers as we booked a standard double room in "reykjavik residence suites" at number 21 however when we arrived we were actually at "reykjavik residence hotel" which is number 45 (number 21 is just if you book a suite). An easy walk just causes some confusion when being collected for tours etc. The staff were always very friendly and helpful, especially with communicating with their other hotel in these instances. We paid a little extra to upgrade to bed and breakfast and the amount/selection you get is incredible! We had breakfast and lunch from it with food to spare. I would definitely recommend this place!

"Great hotel only a short walk from heart of city"
Fantastic stay at this hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing too much for them. Rooms were cosy and spotless and bed very very comfy, we had a small patio where we had fun building a snowman. Excellent location, 5 mins walk from restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Excellent trip.

Though from outside the hotel doesn't look very attractive, the room we stayed in was great. We were a family of 3 (2 adults and a 4 year old) and our triple room with two walls covered in windows was great - tidy, basic but modern, and with all necessary facilities. The breakfast in the downstairs bar was very nice with a standard continental choice of foods. Hotel staff were superb - really friendly and helpful with any questions about excursions. They treated our little one with something every day - a bunch of grapes, a milkshake, a piece chocolate. The location of the hotel is great as well - right in the downtown at the end of the main restaurant/bar/shop street. And finally the price was very good too, though we were travelling in low season.
