Great hotel, great location.Posted Dec 17, 2014
I spent three nights at CenterHotel Arnarhvoll and really enjoyed it. The location is amazing, right on the waterfront and an easy walk to all of the attractions. The staff were very accommodating. I had an early flight so missed breakfast, but they had coffee and croissants available. Breakfast was very good. I will certainly return to this hotel on my next trip to Iceland!

Great locationPosted Dec 8, 2014
Hotel is in a great location in centre of city. Rooms are a bit clinical for my liking. Didn't like that you had to go to reception in your bath robe and wait for a member of staff to become free to let you in into the spa. I.e. stood freezing by the door in a robe while people are checking in. But the staff were very friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was great.

Nice breakfast and spa facilitiesPosted Dec 7, 2014
The hotel is 5 min walk to main road where there are shops and eateries. The hotel reception can book all day tours for you. Is easy and convenient.

Upgrade the room for the viewPosted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: The view of the mountains on a clear winter's day is something I will never forget. The breakfast was healthy and full of fruit.
Cons: They need a room with a lock and key, not just behind the desk, for your luggage if you leave it behind and head into town before your flight.
We decided to spend 5 days here because we just finished working 2 weeks in Helsinki and wanted some us time within budget. I bought an upgraded room with a view and it was worth every penny. The first night they put us in the wrong room but quickly made up for that with 2 free drink vouchers for Sky Lounge. But two days we were there it rained and we just hung out in the room with some wine and watched the water, it was the perfect way to relax without being romantic. Sometimes you just need that get away without a schedule and this hotel is a great location for that, you can bundle up and walk less than 3 minutes to a great couple of pubs if you don't want to do the hotel food. Only downside, is call ahead to restaurants if you want to do take-away because then they'll tell you the options allowed since it's not very popular in this area unless it's pizza or burgers. This is not a beach getaway in early December but if you're from a sunny spot like we are, you welcome the change of environment, the wind and even the snow.

Well positionedPosted Oct 26, 2014
Good hotel in central location for everything Reykjavik has to offer. Just over the road from Harpa concert and conference centre and just a couple of hundred metres from the main shopping streets. Loads of restaurants and eateries nearby. Hotel has stunning views over the harbour and out over the sea to the mountains. Worth asking for an upper floor room with sea views. Breakfast is included in the room price and is a buffet style with cereals, a continental offering of cold meats and cheeses as well as scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and sausages also there is toast, yea and coffee and fruit juices. All this is served in a top floor restaurant with fantastic views. The staff were very friendly and helpful and all spoke excellent English.

Close to city centre & Gray Line toursPosted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Roof top view is amazing.
Cons: Honestly no.
Location: City centre is less than 5 minutes away meaning shops & restaurants are at door step.
This hotel was perfectly placed near the city centre & tour companies - Gray Line / Reykjavik Excursions, perfect if you are planning on doing the tours while there. The hotel itself is very modern, clean & staff are helpful. The breakfast is plentiful, though the eating area is small - so can be packed during peak times. A bonus is the roof top Sky Lounge Bar, beautiful views especially during breakfast, if you time it right you can watch the sunrise. I would defiantly recommend for a short stay.

Guter Startpunkt für Island ReisePosted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Zentrale Lage, Aussicht aus dem Zimmer auf die Harpa
Cons: Zimmer war etwas klein. Wenig Parkplätze für Hotelgäste
Location: Stadtcenturm, Sichtweite Harpa
Nur eine Nacht dort verbracht, bevor wir unsere Rundreise gestartet haben. Frühstück war lecker und die Aussicht sehr schön.
