Great hotel, excellent location, fantastic country

Posted May 14, 2015
Hotel was very central and 5 mins from the Gray Line travel company. Our room, 505, was excellent with great views and a good size. Staff were fantastic and the breakfast perfect to set you up for the day. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough!

Great location near downtown and harbour

I enjoyed this hotel, it was right downtown, close to the harbour, was clean and comfortable and had breakfast. I'd come back.

Clean 3 star hotel with an excellent central location in near the trendy section. District liely with many restaurants and pubs. Barbour park for running, leisure center with gym and spa, pools nearby.

Two of us stayed here. Ideal central location. Room spacious. Wifi connection and good value. Good hub for exploring Reykjavik and Iceland

Nice Hotel close to the city center

Posted Apr 6, 2015
It takes only 3minutes on foot from the city center. Breakfast is at the minimum level but is enough considering the hotel bills. Not only the room but also common area are kept in a sanitary condition.

Centrally located

Posted Apr 3, 2015
We found this hotel adequate for our stay based on price and location. The room was clean but the bed was a bit squeaky, and the bedside lamp bulb had gone out. We had a view out of the window of a building site. Staff were friendly enough, but one of the days we asked for a wake up call and it never came. Overall our experience was fine, as we were out most of the days only really coming back to the hotel to sleep. But I would only recommend this place to people who are looking for a place to sleep (not part of the holiday experience)

Very nice place to stay

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Cons: A tablet and pen would have been nice amenities in the room.
The hotel is clean, with super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great! And coffee/tea is available 24 hrs. Dining area and lobby were big enough to relax. WiFi worked great! There was no provision for a hardwired internet connection however. Although I didn't see it in the description on Expedia, the hotel DOES offer laundry services. Hair/body gel was available in the shower, a nice touch. There is a lot of construction in downtown but the noise was minimal, and even the noise from all the bar hoppers was hardly noticeable. The location is great, so much within walking distance, shoppes, supermarket, many restaurants and bars. Sightseeing tours can be arranged by the staff, or the offices for the tours are also just blocks away. I am looking forward to staying there on my next visit to beautiful Iceland.

Excellent location

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: Location location location
Cons: See about breakfast above
Very good in a central location near to the main shops , sea front and restaurants . Although we had a room looking over the building site it never disturbed us . We were too exhausted from enjoying Iceland to be bothered about the view from the room . The reception staff are excellent booking trips and rebooking trips especially the Northern lights . Special thanks goes to the lady with the short dark hair , sorry forgot her name . Only thing they should change is how the breakfast is laid out the coffee and toaster are stuck in a corner creates a bottle neck so you can't get to the food . Just spread things out a little , it will make the breakfast experience a little more pleasant . In fact a better toaster would be a good investment , 2 and half minutes for four slices is too long when there is a room full of people all rushing to get ready for their trip .
