Great location!Posted Nov 27, 2013
Wonderful place for finding restaurants and shops, just outside the door. Only minutes to the downtown area where the buses departed. So convenient not to have to take the city bus to go everywhere--this all adds to the benefit of staying here. Only drawback was already noted by others previously---because it's on the main street there is a lot of noise from party-goers on weekends and that made sleeping difficult.

Lovely staff and affordable pricePosted Nov 14, 2013
I loved my time at the Center hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. My room was clean and definitely worth the price. Definitely recommended.

Right at the city centrePosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: The location
Cons: They should install noise reduction door system since I could hear other people banging the door.
Location: It's close to many attractions, restaurants and bars.
The location is great where there are lots of shops, souvenir shops, supermarket, restaurants and bars. The room was quite quiet, maybe we were staying from Sun to Wed. Everything was basic but clean, buffet breakfast was ok, not so many choices but enough for me, they have bread, boiled eggs, pieces of different fruits, ham, biscuits, coffee, tea, and chocolate.

Nice choicePosted Oct 10, 2013
Location: Good restaurants and bars.
Great location, very helpful staff and had a good breakfast buffet. In the centre of the town centre and only around the corner to Grayline head office which is one of the leading tour operators.

Excellent European style HotelPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: Ease of airport transport to/from the hotel Cleanliness & comfortable beds Full European breakfast bar Friendliness of staff
Cons: Smile lessons for desk clerk on duty the next day!
Location: Excellent historic downtown location.
I'm sorry that we only had one night to stay in Reykjavik. We arrived tired after two busy weeks of touring in Ireland, London and Paris primarily for a break in the long flight back to Seattle from Paris.(Great idea, by the way.) The desk clerk on duty, Tony, made us feel right at home. Madrek, the evening desk clerk, was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel, Vegamot. After weeks of regional food, we enjoyed two of the best specialty burgers outside of the States! Why were we surprised to learn that the beef was raised right there in Iceland?

Great location and good accommodationPosted Sep 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Although the exterior of the hotel, and first impressions of its public areas gave us a few doubts when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the rooms. The included breakfast was good, and the staff extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. Its location in the centre of Reykjavik was ideal.

Perfect location in ReykjavikPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is in the middle of the shopping district, an amazingly well-placed site (although it can be occasionally loud at night). The rooms are small by American standards but very well equipped. The check in was painfully slow but the desk clerk redeemed himself by his cheerful help with tour reservations. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again!

Nice breakfastPosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice hotel except it's hard to find as the reception is located at 2nd floor of a pharmacy store. It is close to lots of good restaurant and the landmark church. One small grocery store is near by. I especially like their breakfast. Lots of varieties of fruits and pastries. I highly recommend this hotel for city center stay. Note: There is no garage for parking. You need to park by the street by buying the ticket to find a nearby garage to park.
