Well worth a visitPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Comfortable with all amenities on their list
Cons: Nothing, OK as it was
Location: Right on the main street, lots of restaurants and places to 'hang out'. Lots of places that offer tours and adventures, rafting, glaciers, walking,
Comfortable hotel, easy access to local restaurants and places to drink. Lovely visit to the Blue Lagoon for spa experience, good. Took the Grand Circle Tour, very enjoyable, landscape, glacier and waterfalls NOT CHEAP as everything imported. An easy, safe place to visit with lots of 'adventure' experiences on offer. Midnight sun, no insects and everybody speaks English !!

I have stayed here at least half a dozen times over the past few years. The experience is consistently good. The hotel location is great -- central, yet I have never been negatively affected by the late-night street noise that is common in central Reyjkavik. Nevertheless, it is probably a good idea to try to get a room that faces the interior area. The staff are always friendly and eager to help. Rooms are basic, but all you need. Breakfast is adequate, but I especially enjoy it in a nice bright sunroom. I will be back.

Great hotel, right in Reykjavik City centre.Posted Jun 14, 2014
Stayed 5 days, hotel was very comfortable. Check in/out was quick. Trips that we had organised had us picked up right outside hotel. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops around.

Nice and friendly hotel downtown ReykjavikPosted Jun 1, 2014
Nice hotel with friendly staff and great location in one of the few lively streets. However, the rooms are quite small and the ones on the street side tend to be noisy at night.

Convenient to centre.Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Centrally placed.
Cons: As a 2 star, it would be ok, as a 4 star a lot needs improving!
Location: Lots of excellent places to eat. Lots of excellent trips all around Iceland - what a wonderful country.
Hmmm, well although this hotel is supposed to be 4 star, it seems more like 2 star. Friday nights you can hear all of the raucous goings on outside - all night long in May! Staff are pleasant, amenities basic - but it was ok!

Centrally placed and very convenientPosted Apr 20, 2014
The staff were all very helpful, even arranging an early breakfast for us on the day we checked out. We had to get a bus to the airport at half past four in the morning... Incidentally the shuttle picked us up at the door of the hotel which was very handy too.

Pros: Location and only 33 rooms
Excellent location, friendly staff....noisy on weekends if you are a light sleeper. I was here for 6 nights and Friday/Saturday didn't sleep.

Great locationPosted Jan 11, 2014
Absolutely great location on main high street. Room clean and comfortable but small however, there was a fridge and kettle available which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was very acceptable. Down side of hotel was that you had to go up steps to go through main door and a further few steps to reach the lift which took you to second floor to where reception was. Also, due to situation of reception there was no one available to assist with luggage as no one could see you arriving. This of course would only be a problem to those with mobility difficulties (as it was in our case). Other than that a nice hotel and would highly recommend.

Great hotelPosted Jan 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel has the perfect location, right on the main street. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. They are on the small side which was only a problem coz we had so much luggage but the beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was continental with plenty of everything. The place is perfect for a couple of nights in the city, go to the Lebowski bar just down the road!

UNCARING HOTEL.Posted Jan 2, 2014
Did not provide the rooms that were booked and paid for in advance. Very noisy hotel sits on the street. Road cleaners every morning outside at 6.00am. AVOID!
