Great locationPosted Nov 12, 2013
Location: Everything for evening and nightlife is nearby. The bus station is just around the corner, a 3 minute walk away - but you won't be aware of it.
Only stayed 3 nights over a weekend and didn't eat in. Rooms small but I only wanted to sleep. Shower roomy and excellent. Staff very helpful. Location is spot on and couldn't be better. Shops, Bars and restaurants on the same road. Weekend Bar music can be heard into the early hours, but not particularly intrusive. Breakfast out can be had at the Laundromat cafe opposite to the right - the brunch options are mega and set you up for the day! Overall a good experience.

Perfect Hotel for Beer LoversPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: The decor is very nice and welcoming, and the hotel is modern and inviting.
Cons: We found we could have used a bit more space in the room, and more counter space in the washroom.
Location: Micro Bar (attached to the hotel), Lobster House Restaurant, Cafe Paris, Photography Museum
Our experience at City Center was excellent. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in downtown Reykjavik for a reasonable nightly rate. If you are a beer aficionado, there is no better place to stay as the Micro Bar is connected to the hotel. Micro Bar is a must-see for beer drinkers visiting Iceland, as the bar offers an almost overwhelming number of Icelandic micro-brews to choose from.

the hotel is located in an excellent area. I was impressed with the quality of the furnishings of my room as well as the décor. Breakfast is also highly to recommend, it is worth the extra money. Hopefully I can return soon!

Happy we chose City Center hotel. Loved their location in the real city center. Parks on either side. Lots of restaurants. Could walk anywhere we wanted. Room was ready before check-in. Quiet. Slept well in their nice beds.

Simple and convenientPosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Simple hotel at perfect location in the centre of the city. Lots of good restaurants in the vicinity, short walk to harbour, museums, opera, airport bus. Small room, very good breakfast. Saturday night was noisy, but that is Reykjavik.

Great location!Posted Sep 2, 2013
Location: Go for dinner at the glass cultural centre at the harbour, flea market, cafe Paris and live music up and down the street the hotel is on.
We (2 couples) spent our first night in Reyjkavik at this hotel which we booked on the Internet. It was charming, nicely decorated and had great staff, particularly the gorgeous hotel manager! He was very well informed, smart, and polite.
