Not quite what it says on the tin.Posted Sep 25, 2014
Cons: Better Signs at the entrance Make sure the parking is for guests not staff.
Location: You don't need me to tell you how much there is to do in Iceland. a week just isn't enough.
Like others have said not the easiest place to get in to but its not really a problem, A better sign would have helped though. We were given a ground floor room which bore no resemblance whatsoever to the pictures on Expedia, apart from the mattresses on the floor. But we didn't complain. When in Rome. The room itself wasn't the worst tbh it just needed a bit of a tlc. My wife wasn't impressed with the bathroom but it was ok. The main issue we had with the room was the noise from the apartments above I realise its not possible to have a completely quiet room but the constant banging around sounded like they were rehearsing for a production of River dance. this was a 2 in the morning then up at 7 : ( After 2 nights I did complain only to be greeted with a shrug of the shoulders and a friendly smile. and the promise that the River dance troop were leaving that morning. Unfortunately they were replaced by a herd of Elephants so no better really. We had to be up early next morning for the 'Inside The Volcano trip' ( Excellent ) so had another moan to reception. to be fair he was very helpful and as there was a room available at the top of apartment K (they are all the same company) allowed us to move this was a much nicer room and we had a good nights sleep. It might be a bit noisy at the weekends though as it overlooked the street. On balance I would say we very much enjoyed our stay the location is superb. Just make sure You get a top room.

Perfect location to the downtown area.Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Location and accommodations
Cons: Honestly the only suggestion would be stronger Wifi along with the ledge above the sink should be moved. But these are tiny matters.
Location: Walk around the downtown to view shops, restaurants, museums and especially the ocean harbor.
Very pleased with staff and accommodations. Worked very well for what we needed, especially having the kitchen, thought the price was reasonable especially for the location. The staff was very helpful in guiding us for items such as a grocery store, where hot spots were, etc.

Unique,lovely apartmentPosted Aug 23, 2014
Since our original studio apartment was not available due to a maintenance issue, the staff generously upgraded us to a lovely, top-floor one-bedroom that was wonderful! It had a beautiful view of Reykjavik. What a nice way to start ou vacation in Iceland!

Be carefulPosted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: It's too bad the condition of the room was so bad as the location of the hotel was great.
Cons: The room would have made a wonderful storage area.
Location: The hotel was in the center of the main shopping area with great restaurants.
We had prepaid five nights (no refund/no cancellation) and stayed only one night. A room was going to open up later in the day but we didn't want to wait - we went across the street and booked a room in another hotel. Other rooms in the hotel may have been better but based on the room we had we weren't willing to gamble. My wife noted that the furniture was dirty. We had to crawl from the bottom of the bed to get into it - the bed was placed into an area that didn't allow us to get in from the sides. The soap container in the bathroom was rusty and caked with old soap.

Close to downtown, parking behind the hotel.Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Give directions how to check into the hotel before customers arrival date. Where to park.
Location: For breakfast, try bakery Sandholt , just 5 blocks away. They have great variety of breads , fresh and open early in the morning.
We arrived pretty late and hard to find the hotel. The hotel sign is not clear enough. Turns out it's the same management as Apartment K. Receptionist on the 3rd floor and you have to ring the bell to get in. Our rooms/apartment on the first floor/ground floor, quite confusing and a bit troublesome if you have some luggage with you. Rooms quipped with washing machine, coffee maker, kitchen, tv, bathroom. The apt is quite spacious, but I don't like the bathroom design. Dark with stones integrated all over the wall and floors as decoration. The hotel walking distance to great shops and restaurant in downtown Reykjavik.

Great LocationPosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Central location. There are a few parking spaces behind for those with a car but its often full.
Cons: No sign on the street to tell you where the place is. Poor inventory management - there was one wine glass between 4 and no tea towels.
Part of a fairly large rambling apartment block in a great location in the centre of town just off the main street. We were on the top floor with a decent view of the harbour. Other floors would not have this benefit.

great location, all you needPosted Jun 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
The location is smack in the center of downtown, close to everything, shopping, restaurants, etc. The place is very hard to find, bc it does not have a sign. The little identifier on the door says ' Apartment K'. Once you found it, it is perfect though. I enjoyed the simple Icelandic design, the nice kitchen and location the most.

Great location, just what we were looking forPosted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in the Studio apartment for three nights in June. The apartment was just what we needed - clean, a comfy bed (although it is a Tempur mattress on the floor without a bed frame, but this didn't bother us), a well equipped kitchen area with pots/pans/oven/microwave etc - all you need to be able to cook dinner and have breakfast, a nice lounge area to relax in with a big TV with all the English channels, and our own bathroom. One recommendation if you are staying in summer would be to bring sleep masks as it doesn't get dark and the windows have metal blinds that let some light in. Finding the hotel location was easy - it's called Apartment K, right opposite one of the Centerhotels. We rang the buzzer and staff were there to let us store our luggage at noon before check in at 3pm. Reception is open 24h which is always good to know. In a fantastic location just 2 minutes from the main street of shops/restaurants but not loud at night at all. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Ideal locationPosted May 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Ideally situated right in the heart of Reykjavik, the apartment was well equipped, without being luxurious, and comfortably warm in spite of some bitter weather. It also included our essential requirements of off street parking and wifi. Most restaurants and local attractions were within easy walking distance and access in and out of town was relatively simple. Recommended.
