Sentral beliggenhet

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Beliggenheten og prisen
Cons: Kunne med fordel hevet frokoststandarden og det burde vært større frokostrom. Litt underdimensjonert i forhold til antall gjester.
Location: Når kirker, museer, restauranter, severdige bygninger m.m.
Enkelt og greit hotell der du er nær det meste. Enkel frokost og enkle og fine rom. De laget flott lunsjretter - anbefaler danske smørbrød. Hotellet ligger flott til i forhold til butikker, restauranter og utflukter.

Downtown location - easy walk to everywhere

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Location. Staff.
Our stay at Hotel Fron was great! Hotel staff allowed us to check in before 9am as we arrived on an early morning flight. The hotel is located on one of the main streets in the downtown area make it easier to walk everywhere. There are numbers of restaurants nearby. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Love to come back in the future!

Prisvärt!

Posted May 13, 2015
Mycket prisvärt hotell som ligger väldigt centralt. Frukosten går inte att jämföra med svenskhotellfrukost men var helt okej. Rummet var stort och trevligt och sängarna var sköna. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam.

Wonderful location

We were very impressed with Hotel Fron. It is a charming hotel right on the main shopping street. We were given a room with a balcony that was perfect for people watching. The breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful.

Hotel Fron is on a central shopping street-- easy to find and a great location for walking. The hotel clerk recommended a great restaurant within walking distance and my room was clean and great.

Great Location, Clean, Great Breakfast

Posted Apr 21, 2015
The hotel was on the main shopping/dining street and with in walking distance to pretty much everything you need to see in Reykjavik since it is such a small city. We got a room upgrade so the extra space was awesome and found the room to be really clean. I would say noise is a bit of a factor but nothing crazy enough for me to suggest going somewhere else. The breakfast was really nice too! I would recommend this place to anyone I know!

Great Place for a Weekend Stay

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location
Cons: Breakfast buffet could be improved but it was just enough to keep me energized until lunch/dinner
Location: sites to see, restaurants to eat at, shops to shop at...
Had the opportunity to visit Reykjavik for the weekend and chose Hotel Fron as it was inexpensive and centrally located between all the sites I wanted to visit. Little did I know that the location was even better than I imagined, with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops to keep a person busy and well fed for weeks at a time. The room itself is small but is not a big deal as I planned to spend as much time exploring in the 48 hours I had there as possible. If i were to stay for a longer period I think it would begin to get a little cramped, especially if it were more than just myself there. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful; as they arranged for a cab to come pick me up when I walked out to the Grotta lighthouse and it became far too cold to walk back after sunset (7 mile roundtrip).

Excellent location and service.

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Room (suite), staff.
Cons: Breakfast was so-so. Consider hot meals, such as a waffle machine and hot cereal (water and packets of oatmeal?)
Location: Central to all major poi's.
Gave us a room upgrade, nc. But the night staff is the best part. We had a serious family emergency and had to leave early. Night staff made all the arrangements, offered us early breakfast, and showed empathy throughout. Would go back in a flash to finish our visit of Reykjavik.

Iceland get away

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Location and breakfast
Clean room. Spacious by European standards. More than adequate continental breakfast included with room. Very helpful staff, ready to answer your questions. Excellent location on a main street with lots of shops and restaurants. Within walking distance of most of Reykavik. Location of this hotel is also a problem. There many bars located in the area and it is a touristy in the middle of town location. Br prepared for noise from the loud music and rowdy bar patrons on weekend nights. It is quiet the rest of the week. I also found the bed to be too soft but that could just me me. Note: in Iceland when you turn on the taps you get a whiff of sulphur. Not surprising considering you are basically on top of a volcanic island. The water is fine to drink
