Don't stay on a Monday!Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: Very clean. Great breakfast included.
Cons: Need a printer with the hotel computers so you can print your boarding passes. As is, you have to email to the front desk to get them to print.
Location: Olsen Olsen is a great little burger/sandwich shop less than 3 minutes walk.
The hotel is very nice. Rooms were very comfortable and modern. Included breakfast was amazing. Was very disappointed to find out that the hotel restaurant is closed on Mondays. Stuck in Keflavik with no car waiting to fly out the next day this is very inconvenient - especially when all you've been reading in travel blogs is how great the restaurant is! Who ever heard of a hotel restaurant being closed?!

Great place for valuePosted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Search through expedia
Cons: the mattress is slightly soft, could be firm
Location: there is a restaurant in the city: Kaffi Duus, which is very good
Room is clean and comfort, staff is helpful, price is very reasonable. Breakfast is satisfying. Will choose it again if back to iceland one day in my life Most important: we arrived very late in the night, the hotel will pay the taxi from KEF airport to the hotel and most local car rental can deliver the car to the hotel the other morning, which means you can save one day of car rental.

Nice hotel in good locationPosted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, calm and quiet, easy access from the airport and close from most of the point touristic attraction in golden circle.
Cons: Family room bathroom floor separation to avoid flooding from the shower.
Location: It very closed from the Airport(10 min). Golden Circle: blue lagoon 20-30min, Vik 2:00hours, Reykjavik 40 minutes.
The hotel is located 10 minutes by car from Keflavik airport. It counts with parking places (free of charge) and WIFI with not too bad speed (enough for mails and messaging). We stayed at the hotel 7 days during our winter holidays. We were only returning late at night after our daily excursions. Breakfast was overall good, offering eggs, bacon, cheese, cereals, salmon, fruit and a variety of sweet bakery and sandwiches. We were staying in the family room. The room was clean and hosted well the four members of our family. The bathroom counts with a shower and one sink. It was spacious, however it used to end up flooded every night since the shower floor did not have any separation from the rest of the bathroom. The main bed was comfortable and the kids were sleeping in the sofa-bed very as well. The room counts with a mini-fridge. The hotel is situated in an industrial area of Keflavik but is very quiet at night. Since it is close from the shore (2 minutes walking distance) it allows nice walks close to the coast at evenings and finish eating in the hotel restaurant before going to bed.

Great hotelPosted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: Everything. They even serve great food in their restaurant.
Location: Waterworld is a must if you have time.
This hotel was chosen after reading an Expedia recommendation. It could not have been better. Nothing was a problem for them, and they even had breakfast from 5am so I could eat before flying! The transfer to the airport at 6 am was included in the price.

Very nice facility.Posted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: 2 way airport shuttling (currently they only cover cab fare one way)
Location: Proximity to airport is great. Easy access to Blue Lagoon. Bus to Reykjavik is convenient.
Nobody goes to Iceland to be pampered in a hotel. This hotel is the perfect place for a short (1-2 day stay). It has everything you need including a clean, comfortable room and a great breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. The staff can help recommend and arrange for filling your time in Iceland with the activities that are best for your time or budget restrictions. Perfect for the "extended layover" offered by Iceland Air.

Great conveniently paced hotelPosted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: Think I wrote enough above
Cons: Indoor smoking area
Location: Few cafes / restaurants / bars / cinema / gift shops all within a 10 minute walk but generally a very quite area right by the coast.
Nice hotel with plenty of facilities, very friendly staff, rooms just fine & a good selection of free TV channels to flick through. Breakfast a bit rubbish, served as a buffet, except for toast everything else was cold. The hotel offers one free airport transfer, which I didn't realise & got a darn taxi, they were very nice though & gave me the equivalent taxi journey for another trip. There was some maintenance work going on in the room above mine, starting at 7am. I complained & they stopped but the damage had been done, I was awake :-( The hotel offered me a rate reduction, but I didn't take it up as they were so friendly elsewhere. Nice little bar / restaurant, massive gym which I briefly saw & fled from. Decent wifi connection throughout. All in all great & if I was going back I'd be happy to stay again.

Beautiful HotelPosted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Staff and accomidations
Cons: Make sure all employees in customer service really like to help people.
Location: This hotel is very close to the airport. That is why I booked it. It is in walking distance to the ocean. It has some tours that come to the hotel.
I am very pleased with this hotel. I booked it over a month in advance. Over that time period I had various questions which I asked via email. The staff answered very promptly and courteously. When I got to the hotel most of the staff continued to be very helpful and courteous. The restaurant, lobby and room was very nice and beautiful. I will stay at this hotel again when I come to Iceland. I would say though that it does matter to whom you are serviced by no matter where you go and that applies to this hotel also. There are those people who understand what customer service really means and those that really should not be in that kind of a job. There was one employee that did only the bare minimum. You could tell that she did not want to do any more than that. I was going to get names so I could give feed back but forgot at the time to pay attention because it was only on the last evening I was there that I ran into the 'not so helpful' concierge person.

Lovely views and close to the airport.Posted Nov 20, 2014
The hotel is very well located. It is about 10 mins drive to the hotel. We had a rental car so it was easy to reach there. The room were a bit dated but comfortable the bathroom was quite clean as well. The hotel staff were very accomodating and helpful, the breakfast was a feast of food with lovely sandwiches and cakes and awesome coffee and tea.
