Cons: Wi-Fi could be extended to all rooms. More drawer space in rooms.
Location: The hotel is a bit out of town but is still a good quiet location. There are a few restaurants and supermarket nearby.
We stayed at the Klettur in March and again in November. When booking we upgraded to a deluxe room and requested a sea/mountain view. We were given a room on the 5th floor the first time and the 6th floor the second time, both of which had the sea view. The hotel is a bit out of town but is still a good quiet location, it is very clean and modern. There are a few restaurants and supermarket a short walk from the hotel. The sea wall is not far where you can sit and watch the Northern Lights if they are out. The rooms were very clean and tidy, had tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, iron and ironing board, dressing table, wardrobe with a safe inside, bedside cabinets, the bed was 2 singles pushed together. The bathroom had a really good shower with shampoo and conditioner provided and a hairdryer. The temperature of the room was fine and could be adjusted on the radiator and we also had an opening window. Breakfast is continental style but well presented and plentiful. The staff were really friendly and helpful with booking trips and return pickup to the airport. A few minor points if I’m being really fussy, Wi-Fi does not extend to most rooms, a bit more drawer space in the rooms would’ve been nice for people who do not want to live out of a suitcase, the bath towels are a bit small although useable. If I was to go back, I would definitely stay here again.

modern hotel good locationPosted Nov 6, 2013
Location: near the sea front and only 5mins from the main shopping street where there are lots of restaurants and bars..
We stayed 3 nights in late October. The hotel is in a good location ,close to the sea front and 15 mins walk from the centre of reyjavik. The room was warm clean and modern. We liked having a refrigerator and a kettle. The included continental breakfast had cereals, cold meats &cheeses etc which we found quite adequate. A good choice for a short break

Modern and clean, fairly central.Posted Nov 1, 2013
The room was basic but a good size and modern and clean. No bath but lovely walk in shower. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Walkable to the centre. Tour buses picked up and dropped off right outside the door. Would definitely use again

Great stay at Hotel KletturPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Breakfast and the friendliness of the reception and bar staff.
Location: Walking distance to all major attractions. Great location but building work was going on next door so was a little noisy early on weekday mornings.
I booked this hotel as a last minute surprise trip for my partner. I didn't want to spend too much money, but wanted somewhere modern, clean and close to the city centre. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast really tasty and the reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a no nonsense clean and friendly hotel to take in the sights of beautiful Reykjavic.

Excellent friendly & helpful staffPosted Sep 30, 2013
We booked standard room and was given a deluxe - thank goodness! The room was very nice /suited us, but there was nothing deluxe about it....goodness knows what the standard rooms are like Room was clean, but too warm One pillow each! But reception happy to provide another Big building site next door but no noise coming from it early morning / evenings. Breakfast was a cold buffet with quite a bit of choice, but got boring during a 7 night stay. Would have loved a hot option. Great staff providing a very helpful concierge service 20 min walk to harbour area All the shuttle buses and tour companies will pick up from this hotel Wifi only in reception / bar area

Good choice for a stopover in ReyjavikPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, nice clean room, good choice at the breakfast buffet, interesting decor.
Cons: Happy with everything.
Location: Central location with free parking. Easy walking distance to the main shopping area with a wide choice of restaurants.
We stayed here for 1 night before flying home at the end of our holiday touring Iceland. Unfortunately there had been an issue with our booked deluxe room (a flood from the room above) but the hotel staff could not do enough for us in terms of settling us into a new room of equivalent size and providing all the comparable services. Our 7 year old daughter slept really well on the extra bed and we were impressed with the range of choice available at the breakfast buffet. The hotel does not have a restaurant for evening meals so we walked the 5 minutes to the main shopping/restaurant area and then came back to the hotel bar for a nightcap later - perfect!

Good hotel in a good location.Posted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Not much more to say than the title, a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.

Good choicePosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Turned out to be a good choice. Rooms are new and in great condition. Location close to a major bus stop makes mobility very convenient. Breakfasts are average. It was a shock to see that the wardrobe did not have any space to stow away clothes -- one is forced to live off of the suitcase -- this is ridiculous, and I have never met this before in any hotel worldwide. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable & quiet.Posted Jul 27, 2013
Pros: Good sized room, elegant & functional.
Cons: Layout of breakfast area.
Location: Within walking distance of centre.
New hotel, very clean & quiet despite extensive building work nearby. Staff courteous & very helpful. Within easy walking distance of both the sea-front, central area & restaurants. Breakfast buffet needs re-arranging as kitchen access for staff partially obstructed when guests use coffee machine - could lead to accidental injury. Constant replenishment of both breakfast items & china by vigilant staff.

The hotel was fine. The only problem was a major construction project very close by. They start working early in the morning and continue until 8:00PM. The staff was excellent and got us a room as far away as possible from the noise. I believe it will take at least a couple of years to complete it because it is huge.
