Staff were amazing and accommodating with an early check in. Bed was super comfy. It was pretty quiet for the most part but I could hear the person in the room next to me snoring the whole night. Room was also warm with no air conditioning or window to open. But otherwise, would stay again! Breakfast had a lot of options and was yummy.

I am sure when it is full in the summer it will be less quiet. It was a great location as a base for our exploration and has loads of interesting Viking artifacts. Room was small but sufficient, breakfast was nice, they made us a sandwich we picked up the second morning because we had to leave to get to the airport before breakfast. Hot pool was great after a long day of walking and driving. Everyone spoke English really well. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Iceland!

The decor of the hotel was beautiful. The Viking Theme was excellent. The service was excellent. The rooms were clean. The rooms are not huge, but are comfortable. I would call it a quant, clean, Inn. The Hotel has a sauna and a small hot tub. There is also an attached restaurant that serves excellent food. I had a great time staying at the hotel.

The property definitely involed the viking ambience feel in the rooms and common areas. However, the family rooms were quite s m all with no adequate spaces to put suitcases. We lived out of ours for 10 days. All the beds were uncomfortable really need to upgraded. Just putting a foam top does jit f I rrect a bad bed.

Great location, walkable to dinning. Room was small but comfortable. Very clean. One of our favorite nights in Iceland. Only complaint tub/shower is very tall and some people would have a hard time getting in and out.

Only 4 parking spaces at the hotel due to renovations. Had to park a block away. Reception staff very nice and extra helpful. Breakfast staff not very nice, did not smile at all. Room was small but really nice.

The Fridge in the room was a little noisy during the night and early mornings. The restaurant is very very expensive! The fish tasted burnt they charge nearly £ 3.50 for a glass of water from a pump. The staff were nice and spoke good English but do not help you with excursions!

We had a cottage between 3 of us and was amazing with plenty of space. The main hotel and restaurant about a 30 second walk with access to the hot tub and sauna. We were very happy with our choice. Staff were amazing as well. So glade we stayed here and not the capital centre.

The staff are all very nice and accommodating. Our kudos to the 2 front desk personnel. They’re helpful and gave us information around the area. The breakfast buffet was also wonderful!

It was a very calm and quiet area, the views are breath taking and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Just be cautious of all the ice in the parking lot!

We liked the style of the hotel. But there are only few restaurants nearby if you want to eat in walking distance. Car parking is small.

A quirky stay.
Very interesting to stay in the Viking village and was a cool experience just outside of Reykjavik. Hafnarfjörður is a very nice place in its own right.

This property is a centrally located place to stay if you will be visiting Hafnarfjoreur (they have weekend Christmas markets). Restaurants in this area are great! It is also a short drive from Keflavik Airport and downtown Reykjavik. We had three rooms and 1 of them had mold in both the shower and the hot pot. The other two rooms were lovely and very well maintained. They do not provide additional towels for the sauna or jacuzzi because they want you to rent a robe. This seemed very silly!

Staff were friendly and breakfast was great but the twin beds were tiny and I had expected to sleep in a room with a double bed as I have arthritus and that's what i thought I had booked but I had to struggle up tiny tiny stairs to an upstairs small bed. There was tea and coffee in the room but no milk so I asked at reception if I could have some milk for the room and was told no. No explanation. Very strange, I couldn't have a warm drink in my room after being in the freezing cold all day. I've never stayed in a hotel where they refuse milk.

Super touristy fun
Hotel Viking provides basic but fun/quirky themed accommodations close to Reykjavik for a good price - and it has a sauna and hot tub! The included breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items. We stayed there the night before we drove around the Golden Circle and it worked out well as we were able to avoid most of the rush hour traffic.
