Pros: This hotel was very nice and I would consider staying there again on a future trip.
Location: The location is okay but I did take the city bus downtown since it is a little far to walk by myself.
I stayed at this hotel before my organized tour began on August 14th. This was the pick up location for the beginning of my tour. As a solo traveler I found this hotel to be very nice and very safe.

Ok hotel, small rooms.Posted Aug 4, 2014
The hotel was clean, but the room was small and extremely hot, no way to open windows or change temp. The price was far too high for the accommodations; I paid $300 and would have been happy at about $120. The thermal spa was more like a swimming pool, but it was still nice. No comparison to the Blue Lagoon. The food in the hotel, like everywhere in Iceland, is extraordinarily expensive.

Great contemporary hotelPosted Aug 3, 2014
My son and I stayed here for a quick two day stopover from Zurich. Was easy to spot the hotel from the highway - large 1960's contemporary building, blue and lots of glass sitting on the south end of the regional airport. It's a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to downtown though a bus also runs in front of the hotel (free with card from hotel). The restaurant was great - fantastic breakfast and fun dinner choices. No noise from airport from our room. The best part of our experience was the concierge - really smart woman who spent a lot of time helping us map out a drive through some interesting spots for both days. All of the staff were wonderful. If you go, try the restaurant down the street - Nauthóll. Very reasonable by Icelandic prices and amazing food. Try the Chef's sampler.

Pros: Very convenient and a wonderful breakfast
Cons: A few more electrical outlets. Some real shampoo in the shower.
Pleasant and will likely return, Wifi isn't the strongest

Nice place!Posted Jul 13, 2014
I reserved this cuz it was by the airport...however, the airport was in Reykjavik, not where we flew in at Kef. Staff was super!!! Let us check in at about 8am, when we arrived! Noise from airport really not bad. Travel/tour office was absolutely terrific!!

Nice Hotel, but not close to downtown. Easy access with a car and good parking. The room was stuffy and we had to have the door open for any ventilation.

Great hotel other than the creepy "art" in the lobby. Be advised that this hotel backs to the general aviation airport and traffic is always coming and going.

Average hotel for a beautiful countryPosted May 16, 2014
Pros: The food is amazing
Cons: the room style is lackluster
Location: it's out of the city center, like way out, but it's very close to the Pearl and very close to the cathedral
Not at all the what I expected but still an ok hotel. If you don't plan on staying there all day it's fine

Natura - clean an adequatePosted May 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was more than adequate. Food in Iceland is very expensive so make sure your breakfast is included!. Do spend the $15 to go to their spa. The hotel is out of the city but they provide you with a bus pass; learning the bus system is both fun and convenient. The Pearl is a short hike. It is a dome on top of the hill which contains an observation deck. A good thing to do.
