“Metropolitan: Great!”

Cheap by Icelandic standards with rooms for singles. I highly recommend Metropolitan. The front desk is as much of a concierge as you could wish for. Free breakfast. Good location. The negative was a weird shower in the bathroom where the whole floor intentionally floods and the little toilet scrubber brush floats towards you with a threatening wobble. weird european showers are hardly newsworthy though! Stay here, you won't be sorry. oh yeah, BOOK ONLIN....much much cheaper.

“Certainly a hotel to recommend! You get all you need and more!!”

It has great location, close to many good restaurants, the harbor, the famous hotdog stand, the main shopping street. Extremely helpful and reliable staff. Coffee and hot chocolate available all day. The room is clean, has TV, wireless internet, very convenient. So much to offer for such a low price I got!

“Best Deal in Iceland”

One of the best things about this hotel, besides the price, is the wonderful staff and great breakfast. The rooms are o.k. though our beds were a little squeeky but considering what other hotels cost, and the incredible help we got from the reception, it was well worth the money.

“Nice hotel, close to city center”

This was a nice hotel-it was clean, quiet, and near everything. The staff were helpful, and they have a nice breakfast in the morning for you. I would definitely stay again.

“Great hotel in the heart of the city”

Close to the main street, the workers were very nice people. The free breakfast was great and it saves you from spending money on meals.

“No cable !”

The add said they had cable television , there was two channels , one religious and one with pop . they were very bad , and when you are in a little city , without much to do , you need the tele. Torben

“Good Value in a very EXPENSIVE city”

A very small room, but clean and simple. Because of the cost of any other hotel in Reykjavk, this was a great value. At one end of the city, but just a few blocks from the center. Perhaps the cheapest hotel in town. Excellent breakfast included, which in a restaurant could be very pricey.

“A fine place to stay”

This hotel is well located, the staff was very accommodating, breakfast was quite good, our room was fine. It cost about twice as much as a room of similar quality would cost in a major U.S. city, but that seems to be the going rate in Reykjavik.
